Cruz never said "I can confirm Ben Carson has dropped out".

You are posting a lie.

How dare Cruz ask for money from people? Perhaps the people offended simply don't want to face their own conscience. Everyone wants to change this country and no one wants to give up any thing to help make it happen.

“Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”-Thomas Paine

Yep. The Ted Cruz is evil squads are more active here than on DU... and that doesn't bother them.

The double standards are odd as well:
When the daughters looks good it's all ‘staged’. When they act like kids it's cause they rejected him. Hmm.

When Trump says what needs to be said or plays hardball politics. That's fine we aren't electing a preacher after all.

When Cruz does it. It's mean and nasty.

“Most Conservative liar maybe.”

Maybe she believes like Trump does that Conservatives are the problem in Washington also. At least she should stop pretending to be something she’s not.

Did Cruz betray Sarah? Or does she think he did? This seems like ‘get back’ to me.

"And Ted is uniquely able to deliver on that combination of the law and religion." My problem with that, myself, is that I don't won't an elected official thinking he can deliver to me or the nation anything regarding "that combination of the law and religion." What does that mean? How will he deliver it? Who anointed him to do it?

If you didn't remove the comment from the full context, perhaps you could answer your own questions.

See the following underlined portion of the full quote.

You object to him understanding the Constitution’s purpose is to limit government and that he believes in God? You do realize that the “we” Mrs. Cruz is referring to was the audience and to all Christians, right?

You lose all credibility when you call Trump a liberal— tell me a liberal that wants to build a wall along the border— keep muslim immigrants out of the country-— huge cuts in taxes and loves Clarence Thomas and Scalia... If you want to say Cruz is more conservative than Trump than you have a credible argument— but saying Trump is a liberal is just silly...

What I'm seeing is incredibly sad. If the only way a voters choice can win is by lying about an opponent, you've already lost. Integrity used to be valued. Now the only important thing is "winning" at any cost.

I call Trump a liberal because of his past actions and associations. He is now talking like a conservative to get votes but he has no history of doing anything conservative.
He is a salesman and he has fooled many people.

Outside spending for 2016 hits $200m
Feb. 12, 2016

This election cycle is flush with outside spending. As of today, super PACs, social welfare 501(c)(4) groups, trade associations, unions, parties and others (corporations, individuals etc) have spent $203.4 million this cycle. By this time in 2014, they'd spent less than half that much, Center for Responsive Politics data show, and in 2012 the number was just $61.9 million. Outside spending for February 12, All Cycles

Outside spending for and against Hillary Clinton by single candidate super PACs dominates the 2016 Democratic presidential primary.

Outside spending for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush still dominates on the GOP side, even after his super PAC fundraising recently fell off a cliff.

Super PACs, which can take unlimited amounts from virtually any source but must disclose their donors, have gotten an early start this cycle. On this date in 2012 and 2014, there were only 43 and 58 of them, respectively. Today, there are 2,206 super PACs, though only 84 of them are spending money. So far, they've laid out $189.1 million, more than 300 percent more than they'd spent by this time in the last presidential election.

Among 501(c)(4) dark money groups (so-called because they aren't required to disclose their donors) 21 fewer are active so far this election cycle compared with 2012, a total of 28 groups. Even though there are many fewer groups this cycle, however, they've spent almost three times as much: $4.2 million versus $1.4 million. All nondisclosing groups (including (c)(4) organizations) have spent $8.7 million so far, compared with $4.9 million at this point in 2012.

And that's only going to soar, if the pattern of 2012 repeats itself. By the time that election was over, groups that don't disclose their donors had spent $308.7 million — 63 times their Feb. 12 number.

There are almost twice as many conservative dark money groups as there are liberal.

These conservative groups are spending almost 10.5 times the amount the liberal groups are. That's similar to what happened in 2012, but the difference between conservative and liberal spending is more exaggerated.

(Caveat: Outside spending is, by nature, murky. Corporations and unions can support candidates as long as they are not coordinating with the campaigns. This support often takes the form of television advertising; not all of which is reported to the FEC, depending on who's sponsoring the ads and when they run.)

Sarah Palin is right.
Tried several times, but, I couldn't get it posted.

All of the candidates, with the exception of Mr. Trump, do not have enough money to be self-funded, and that is the way of things so they should all be honest about it and not pretend otherwise.

So candidates who accept small donations from millions of citizens can't run for office because they are not "self-funded"? We are to ruled only by the billionaire oligarchs?

Not in my country!

Get out a here with that elitist ruling class crap. I never though I would see this kind of nonsense on FreeRepublic.

Teddy has peaked which is why the Cruzers are reduced to sniping Trump threads. They know it’s basically over.

Palin’s right here.

Cruz’s assertion that he hasn’t been receiving PAC money from KStreet is dishonest beyond measure, and it opened him up for an attack.

There’s been a big falling out between Cruz and Palin, and it doesn’t surprise me, as Cruz’s people started trashing Palin after her speech in Iowa last year. Palin found out a couple of things:

1. That it was her buddy Ted Cruz that had directed some of the conservative trashing of her last year.

2. His campaign is being run by some heavy-duty Bush people (Mike Cherthoff, W’s former head of FEMA, runs Ted’s operation) so Palin figured that Ted was a sockpuppet for Karl and Jeb, and she ran from Ted like he was a dumpster fire.

I think Cruz was supposed to be Jeb’s blocker Candidate, only Jeb imploded. It could still work out as the Establishment intended if the Convention deadlocks and Romney rides in as a White Knight on the Second Ballot.

I personally think the Cruz people are being taken to the cleaners by the Establishment, but that’s just me.

I can’t say I blame her, although I can’t say I support Trump either.
