His people will be peeling off in the not so distant future.

You couldn't be more wrong.

A large number of conservatives that believe in limited govt and are pro-life, pro-family will not cross over to support a crony capitalist phony. It's great theatre to watch a guy insult everyone and denigrate people's chracter, but it does not win elections.

Since the fall he has beaten her or been a few points down to her. Depends on the poll.

But, Ford was down big time to Carter and almost pulled it out.

Reagan was down to Carter but pulled it out in a landslide.

The campaign is everything.

If Sanders is -7, the DNC is going to explode if it tries their plan to have Super Delegates -> Hillary

He is a reclaimed Reagan conservative as of 2011. From that point his actions say his conversion was sincere and growth has happened.

Now, Cruz says he didn’t know he had Canadian citizenship.

He is a super lawyer, a famous solicitor, a Harvard phenomenon, a man pondering a presidential run, AND he had his Canadian birth certificate in hand.

Before he even announced that he’d discovered he had Canadian citizenship, I discovered it with 2 hours of googling.

Do YOU buy that a super lawyer like him didn’t know that?

The Rats will put Hillary up as their candidate. No doubt.

And in response to that, a YUGE swath of pissed off Sanders supporters will vote Trump in the general as their way of flipping off the DNC.

Other than the grousing of the Iowa Caucus losers, can you provide any concrete evidence that the vote distribution was affected at all?

“Cruz won because he cheated” is fairly easy to disprove. Ben Carson actually received more votes than predicted by the final Iowa polls.

I do understand however that this character smear is useful for those with an axe to grind. Trump must be a student of Goebbels, repeat a lie enough and it begins to become the truth.

Well, it played pretty well in Iowa and very well in NH. Appears to be playing well in SC, NV and FL, for now.

Did it ever occur to you that in those big crowds in Louisiana, South Carolina, Alabama that Trump is drawing are a large number of conservatives? They’re tired of being lied to by Republicans of all stripes, and seeing no pushback against the left. To them Cruz is just another GOP politician. There are great divisions in the party, but I blame that more on the selling out done by Boehner, McConnell, and Ryan than anyone else. A big portion of the party has had enough with elected Republicans, and that hurts Cruz in a big way in this primary season. That’s the reality today.

BTW, your vote is your vote. I’ve always believed a man’s vote is for whom he casts it. Not casting it at all I consider to be sinful. (Really) But, 3rd party of some kind, then I’m okay with that.

I see Trump as far better than Romney, McCain, and Dole who lost for us big time. I would find it hard to walk on Trump if I did not walk on those.

Trump said hissister would be a great US Supreme Court Justice.

Trumps willlie about anything, depending on what day it is and how he feels that day. Trump claims his net worth depends on how he feels from day to day, and that his “Trump” brand has actual financial worth. The NJ Supreme Court bench slapped him on that idea and stated that even Trump’s accountants admitted that his “brand” has no financial vaalue.

You choose Hillary or Sanders over Trump????

I guess that tells us a lot about Cruz supporters...

I support Trump. If Cruz is the nominee, I vote for Cruz and encourage everyone I can to vote for Cruz.

Yes, it is. General election polls at this point, before there are nominees, are really not useful. Polls do show trends, but really are only important a week or less out from a vote.

I said it from the beginning. I wrote an article on it here on FR. Others then starting saying things that paralleled what I had written. So, I believe I was ahead of them even.

So, in my mind THEY are repeating what I said. Not that it takes a genius to figure it out, but it takes no repetition to arrive at the conclusion that Iowa was tainted.

Iowa’s governor says so, their secretary of state says so, Mark Steyn says so, Ben Carson says so, and a host of others agree.

Trump must be a student of Goebbels

Goebbels? Really? C'mon...you may not like the candidate, but Goebbels? All politicians (that includes Cruz) have talking points and stay on message...that doesn't make them Goebbels.
