Direct your browser to your favorite search engine. Select images there, and enter the search terms: [mission control apollo]. Examine the pictures carefully. You’ll notice something. The Execrable Ralph Abernathy noticed it too, back in ‘72. It chapped his hide no end.

As soon as the Space Shuttle program started, the crew photos for the missions began to look like ‘diversity’ posters put out by some human resources department.

That's because they WERE 'diversity' posters put out by some HR department.

Yep....and the Shuttle became a make-work for NASA and contractors.

Instead of ‘Godspeed John Glenn’ we got (inevitably) chirpy female announcers ‘And up goes Endeavour with science projects, two lesbians, the first plumber in space and a partridge in a pear tree!’

The atmosphere looks so fragile, I mean it’s almost like you could jump right through it.

Maybe he can ask the Columbia astronauts how fragile that atmosphere is, or maybe he can jump out of the space station and spend a little time in that atmosphere, unprotected.

It may look fragile, but that atmosphere is treacherous and unforgiving.

Only the Sanders quote got any play in the MSM, because it was almost impossible to ignore, but - since it could not be ignored - it was stoutly defended by the press. All the other quotes landed in that media black hole where embarrassing quotes by Democrats end up.

This is one reason why the Dems get away with this "Reublicans are stupid" theme - Democrat gaffes are buried.

"Useless information like that made you realize how really, really BIG the oceans are!"

There's a globe of the world at my mother's house, and while looking at the globe I've had the same thought, usually with regards to CO2. I think, there are enormous areas of the earth - the oceans and huge areas of uninhabited or sparsely populated land - where there is virtually NO human CO2 input into the atmosphere.

“I didn’t realize that NASA had fallen so low as to allow morons in the space program.”

Rest assured, Obama has left no stone unturned when it comes to liberal morons infiltrating every aspect of our educational, military, financial, government, health systems, etc. I can not imagine he would overlook NASA.

Not Ivy League for the twins. NASA needed a set of twins to qualify. The Kelly twins are the ones who made it through. This one has a Masters from U Tennessee. Ever heard the Tennessee fight song?

Sadly, this is precisely what Marco Rubio was attempting to drive home with his repetition during the debate.

There are places on Earth where the pollution can be seen from near space, China and India in particular. And that thin skin of atmosphere over the planet probably DOES look fragile from that orbit. The problem is, nothing we (or they) say is taken without a political angle anymore, regardless of the intent.

Is he related to Mark Kelly, the spousal abuser of the brain-damaged St. Gabby of Giffords?
Twin brother. Obviously, insanity runs in the family.

I understand his concerns. Why just the other day, I was able to blot out the sun with my thumb!!! We need to do something to protect our small, vulnerable sun.

Not really. I got it but didn’t think it worth arguing about. You’re allowed to believe these meat bags God gives us to walk around in for a flash of time are “us” and that our genetic and physical resemblance to primates is either non-existent or worth refuting. Personally I got past thinking the theory of physical evolution of mortal flesh somehow conflicts with God when I was a kid. After all, He specific told us His kingdom is not of this world so I’d assume our true selves aren’t either. Now there’s a subtle point for you. Cheers!
