Besides that's wrong, this is the way the government lets you keep more of what you earned (in order to give it to some benevolent cause). To talk of it as if it was the government's in the first place is exactly what the liberals want.

I never claim my stuff though my church makes you fill out all kinds of financial stuff. There are a lot of Christians who don't claim their tithes or other giving. I think that is a heartfelt and good sign.
