Cruz said in an interview with South Carolina radio host Vince Coakley that she would support her husband's campaign even if she weren't married to him because of his religious values.

"We are at a cultural crossroads in our country, and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve - this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country," she said. "Our country was built on Judeo-Christian values. We are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence."

Right Wing Watch is like Media Matters: A far-left group that “keeps tabs” on those slack-jawed hillbilly yokel conservatives.

This does sound like Dominion Theory to me when Heidi says:

“When I thought about doing it for our country, it became very clear to me that our family must be in this race. And it also became clear to me that we are at a cultural crossroads in our country and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve — this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country, our country was built on Judeo-Christian values, we are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence.

“And I think that’s something that this country really needs to be reminded of, is that Christians are loving people, are nonjudgmental people, but there is right and wrong, we have a country of law and order, there are consequences to actions and we must all live peaceably in our own faiths under the Constitution. And Ted is uniquely able to deliver on that combination of the law and religion.”

I’ve hard Donald Trump call himself the best jobs president God ever created, I’ve heard him talk about himself as a builder of the greatest company, but I’ve never heard Trump - or Melania - call himself the face of God. If Christians supporting Cruz don’t find this scary or unscriptural - than not sure what’s up with them. There’s been one man on the stage of history who shined forth the face of God, and it wasn’t Ted Cruz - no matter what his supporters believe.

Judeo-Christian is an oxymoron as Judeo rejected Christ and they do to this day. Is it is modern term used to usurp the Constitution, not to uphold it.

If you rely upon faith to elect someone rather than the voters, you may want to educate the voters instead.

“We are at a cultural crossroads in our country, and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve - this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country,” she said. “Our country was built on Judeo-Christian values. We are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence.”

This statement by Ms. Cruz is true. I agree with her. I would add the fact that The Christian God - The ONLY God - is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I, however, would change one word in what she said...

We are at a “spiritual” crossroads in our country, and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve - this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country,” she said. “Our country was built on Judeo-Christian values. We are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence.

Ted Cruz’s Father Says God Intervened To Tell His Son To Run For President After ‘Six Months’ Of Prayer

Ted Cruz, who won the Republican Iowa caucuses on Monday, decided to run for president after “six months” of prayer, culminating in a two-hour session on bended knee during which the Texas Senator was given the nod.

Pastor Rafael Cruz, the Senator’s father, made the revelation to a religious TV station last week.

Speaking of the fateful prayer session, Cruz senior said: “It was as if there was a presence of the Holy Spirit in the room and we all were at awe and Ted, all that came out of his mouth, he said, ‘Here am I Lord, use me. Here am I Lord, I surrender to whatever Your will for my life is.’ And it was at that time that he felt a peace about running for president of the United States.”

I’m not a fan of Cruz’s “Dial TED for Jesus” routine, but I really wish people would stop linking to these libtard sites just because they post anti-Cruz stuff.

You should be ashamed for posting this crap! That is NOT what she said. The real quote in context:

"When I thought about doing it for our country, it became very clear to me that our family must be in this race.

And I think that’s something that this country really needs to be reminded of, is that Christians are loving people, are nonjudgmental people, but there is right and wrong, we have a country of law and order, there are consequences to actions and we must all live peaceably in our own faiths under the Constitution. And Ted is uniquely able to deliver on that combination of the law and religion."

Now compare that to the BS title from an anti-conservative website: Heidi Cruz: Ted Running To 'Show This Country The Face Of The God That We Serve'

We need wise, strong, principled, humble godly leaders, proven by consistent words and deeds.
Repeated public pronouncement of godliness is a troubling contrary indicator.

Ronald Reagan, we need you more than ever.

Yeah, Ted and Heidi, keep that Elmer Gantry routine going all over the South. And then tell them about that big, er, was it 1% tithing history you have?

Southerners see right through a hypocritical use of religion, so keep it going.
