Where the Animas goes The Gold King Mine blowout on Aug. 5, 2015 sent 3 million gallons of wastewater into the Animas River, which flows into the San Juan River. The San Juan flows into the Colorado River. The Colorado River is dammed, so it's possible the metals and sediment did not make it beyond Lake Powell.

It would seem to me that this is only one more reason to get rid of the EPA.

It has to have been the “fault” of the company who produced the waste in the first place, the EPA would never do anything so evil, just ask them. (sarc)

So it’s “ possible” the millions of people that get their water out of Lake Powell were unaffected. Alrighty then!

I think the big story here is that to date,NO person from the E.P.A. Has been fired or held accountable for this.
Just as NO gub mint Moe ever is held for their deeds.
There was No need for the EPA to be there doing what they were doing, they’ve said so.
Animas is one jewel.
