The house I bought in 2008 had a Goodman (mfg in Houston TX) furnace and AC installed the year before. Lots of problems with both heat and AC, low quality.
They were purchased by the Japanese in 2012 (Daikin Group) perhaps they have shaped them up?
Thanks for the tip, that brand is on the recommended list.
HVAC guy did say had quality issues in the past but lately they’ve upped their quality...but now, with your information, anecdotal as it is, I’ll have to look into it further.
