AIR passengers face longer costlier flights to the United States as a result of global warming, a British scientist warned yesterday.
Climate change is expected to accelerate the high altitude jet stream which blows from west to east, said Reading University atmospheric scientist Paul Williams.
This will speed up eastbound flights but slow down westbound flights by much more, he claimed.
"The bad news for passengers is that westbound flights will be battling against stronger headwinds. The good news is that eastbound flights will be boosted by stronger tailwinds, but not enough to compensate for the longer westbound journeys."

So it will slow down westbound flights, but speed up eastbound flights, though not as much.

Change altitude to go into or avoid the jet stream.
When I am walking on a hilly road I become tired when I walk uphill so when I get to the top of the hill and there is another uphill climb after the downhill stretch, I walk slowly down the hill so I can rest up to tackle the uphill climb.

I just took a 13.5 hour flight from Dubai to Boston the other day.Westbound,of course.Wheels up was on time (to the minute),wheels down was 45 minutes ahead of schedule.

The “Rising Ocean” scam has lost its punch so now they are using a “Rouge Jet Stream” to scare true believers.
People caught on to the “Rising Ocean” scam when they could see for themselves that the Oceans didn’t rise as predicted.
But we won’t be able to see if the jet stream goes rogue or that the scare is just another Climate Change scam.
Global warming makes rich people’s hair fall out too...
