After Crushing Defeat, DNC Quirk Still Gives Hillary More New Hampshire Delegates Than Sanders
Daily Caller ^

Though Bernie Sanders won the New Hampshire primary in a landslide over Hillary Clinton, he will likely receive fewer delegates than she will.

Sanders won 60 percent of the vote, but thanks to the Democratic Party’s nominating system, he leaves the Granite State with at least 13 delegates while she leaves with at least 15 delegates.

New Hampshire has 24 “pledged” delegates, which are allotted based on the popular vote. Sanders has 13, and Clinton has 9, with 2 currently allotted to neither.

But under Democratic National Committee rules, New Hampshire also has 8 “superdelegates,” party officials who are free to commit to whomever they like, regardless of how their state votes. Their votes count the same as delegates won through the primary.

That’s socialism. It’s not about how well you do. It’s only fair to divide the results almost evenly.

Could be ‘68 riots at the convention!

Be sure to share this story on your social media.

Hillary and Bill have spent the last year making promises and cutting deals.

The voting part of all this is irrelevant on their side.

Hillary up 394 to Bern’s 42 delegates.

Going to be a lot of upset socialists!

Still hoping that Sanders wins the popular vote, hillary wins the nomination through stacked super-delegates and the majority of the democrats are so disgruntled they either stay home or defect to Trump.

“And Bernies young activist supporters are going to put up with this?”

They will never know. Does anyone think the media is going to bring this up? The same people rebelling are clueless as to media hijinks.

This is a possibility:

Sanders wins the most vote-earned delegates but loses the nomination because the super-delegates put broomhilda over the top.

Then, yes, ‘68 riots at the convention, for sure, but with the added possibility of Black Panthers playing the role of the Chicago Police busting the heads of the protesters.

I smell the beginnings of a third party run here.

It's all about who counts the votes:

No, it's about the Democrat Party making sure their desired candidate has an advantage over any upstarts that Democrat voters might support over the party leaders. Sanders won the majority of delegates who vote according to popular vote, but then the party leaders A.K.A. superdelegates trample that in favor of their chosen candidate.

I guarantee this will not sit well with the college aged kids who will start to realize their vote is irrelevant. So far Clinton leads Bernie by a large number of delegates.

Clinton - 394
Sanders - 42
