A few stunning figures: *New Hampshire had a record turnout, with 282,000 GOP (13,000 more than Dems) and 20,000 more than its previous high. Yes, Trump turned out new voters.
*Trump won with 94,500 votes. That is 49,000 more than Cruz got in IA
*Trump beat #2 Kasich by a whopping 53,000 votes
*Trump has now received in IA and NH a total vote of 140,000 (vs., say, Cruz of 82,000)
*Trump beat #2 Kasich by 2,000 more than Dinobernie beat Cankles
*after final tally, Trump was awarded an additional delegate, bringing his total to 18, more than double anyone else, and more than Cruz and Rubio combined.
IF you look at the exit polls, Trump won every single demographic that they polled. It was a blowout in every way imaginable, most notably highlighted by Trump winning independents something like 46-6 over Cruz. It was a dominating victory on all levels.
It’s all about the delegates. They need 1236 + 1 if I’m not mistaken. Trump has 18, Cruz 9.
It’s a long race folks.
heh heh
Ever worked on a committee?
Candidate reps have to be there, and the 80-year old Rand Paul rep (who gets him confused with Ron), can get tired early while verifying absentee ballots and everybody will just have to take a break!

Trump gets 35% and his supporters think its “all over”. Let’s see where the other 65% go when the marginal candidates start to stop off. Trump has a strong core of support but he’s stepped on a lot of toes and may have difficulty staying ahead when it comes to the final two. The question is whether Cruz, Bush and Rubio will all hang on to the end. If they do, then Trump clearly has the advantage. He’ll continue to rack up wins unless the Anybody but Trump vote quickly coalesces around a single candidate.
Yes first time. They didn’t have voter ID before this election.
It is like that in every election, if it is close enough to steal, they will.
You’d think they would take a nap or something!
Assuming the votes in each state translates into delegates, what’s the delegate count so far between IA & NH?
Whaddyacallthat? A Rinoass?
Dear FReepers who do not support Trump,
Please do not be deterred from donating by the TrumpSpam.
The Establishment Candidates all did equally well. None of them are dropping out before SC, except maybe Christie Creme. You are also assuming that all the supporters of the establishment candidates will support the other establishment candidates. Doubtful.
I can’t remember a time when so much was put on who came 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. They are doing everything they can to diminish this accomplishment
So a blue-state primary went to a blue-state republican and *not* a red-state conservative. Can we see a show of hands of all who expected a different outcome?
....snicker.....
Trump is the one who will continue to rack up wins....the Anybody but CRuz (ABC) vote has, and will continue, to coalesce around Trump....as CRuz has confirmed his membership in the establishment/can’t be trusTED club.
(Fix it for you.)
It is so obvious that a Trump/Cruz team would win nationally.
It’s a shame that can’t be seen.
There are no RED state conservatives running. I’m from Texas and I don’t consider untrusTED’s TPA and H1-B stance conservative, at all.
Not to mention his association with Midge McConnell (whose attorney is heading up the latest pro-CRuz PAC) and dirty tricks Jeff Roe.
Trump is the epitome of Uniparty.
It’s weird that something so obvious is not seen or denied.
