Hillary Clinton Backer Urges Pulling Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright From Campaigning
New York Times ^ | Feb 9, 2016 | Amy Chozick

Days after two of Hillary Clinton's most prominent female surrogates, Madeleine K. Albright and Gloria Steinem, drew fire for their comments about young women supporting Senator Bernie Sanders, another Clinton surrogate proposed that the two women be pulled from campaigning for Mrs. Clinton.

On a conference call with elected officials supporting Mrs. Clinton on Tuesday, Deb Goldberg, the Massachusetts state treasurer, suggested that Ms. Albright and Ms. Steinem be "kept away" from Mrs. Clinton's campaign, according to a person briefed on the call who could only discuss the private conversations without attribution.

Christina Reynolds, a spokeswoman for the Clinton campaign who was on the call, replied that she appreciated the feedback but did not elaborate on how the campaign would handle the two high-profile supporters, who in recent days called for young women to basically grow up and support Mrs. Clinton.

Bernie had a rally the other day that featured alternative rock acts Matt Nathanson, Young the Giant, and Eric Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Meanwhile, Hillary has been using people like 78 year old Madeline Albright and 81 year old Gloria Steinem at her rallies, but can’t figure old why she’s not connecting with younger voters. Yep, it’s a mystery all right.

On a scale of one to ten I judge the one on the left a -2 and the one on the right a -1 1/2.

This confirms what I have long suspected: Debbie Shultz and her clique of Mean Girls have turned the DNC into the worst sorority on campus!

Somebody wondered if Steinem prefers Bernie and was trying to sabotage Hillary while pretending to support her. IMHO, Steinem is not smart. I don’t recall Steinem and Albright supporting Palin form unfair attacks and lies.

Honestly, I think both are SO irrelevant in this day and age they are flattered that someone thinks enough of them to ask them to get out and say whatever is on their decrepit minds.

Look at the electorate of today. What’s the percentage of them that will even know who these two old biddies are?

It’s 2016, whomever thought we would go for a Bush vs Clinton election needs to be institutionalized. Out of touch would be an understatement. That said, I know people that just accepted it and didn’t have a problem with it. I’d hear “Bush is getting lots of money, so he’ll be the Republican” along with “Hillary is unstoppable” etc.

I look around to see if everyone is being mesmerized by some invisible force. In a country of 300 million, can’t we do a little better than finding a president from more than two families? If not, what does that say about the state of our system? The fact that many don’t seem to have a problem with it is astonishing.
