Intelligence director warns of 'likely' Islamic State plot to strike in U.S. in 2016

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- In testimony before Congress on Tuesday, National Intelligence Director James Clapper said the Islamic State will likely attempt an attack on U.S. soil this year and that North Korea has restarted a plutonium reactor.

Clapper said the Islamic State has been infiltrating migrant groups posed as refugees fleeing from Iraq and Syria in efforts to spread across borders. He warned the foremost terrorist threat to the United States is the Islamic State and its eight branches, including Boko Haram, which changed its name to the Islamic State West Africa Province after formally pledging allegiance in 2015.

No, I don’t think anything will affect the elections, because none of the leading candidates (including the insanely blustering but meaningless Donald Trump) really has a plan to deal with Islam. Therefore, there’s no threat and elections can go on as planned.

Cannot possibly be a surprise. Soldiers have been shuffling across our Southern border for months without ceasing. They've even stopped the pretend of bringing women and children with them. Just fighting age men now.

You are probably right but who knows when and where. They have to come after a us from a big city, as they would stand out like sore thumbs in the smaller towns.
Also most newer Muslim immigrants tend to stick together for at least two generations. After that they are so Americanized that they speak ONLY English and have forgotten some of their own native tongue. Many have married born-in-the-USA-Americans as well.
