Carson to skip his own New Hampshire primary party

Ben Carson will be notably absent from his New Hampshire primary party on Tuesday.

The retired neurosurgeon will instead fly to South Carolina in the afternoon, his campaign said. Following Tuesday's first-in-the-nation primary in New Hampshire, South Carolina Republicans will vote next, on Feb. 20.

The decision to leave New Hampshire early comes after Carson's campaign last week said he would be going home to Florida instead of campaigning in New Hampshire or South Carolina following the Iowa caucuses.

Donald is a paper tiger billionaire. He doesn’t have the liquidity to fund a campaign. He’s simply a ring master con man who’s conned a lot of formerly constitution loving Freepers.

So rumor-mongering again, eh? Weren't you chastised 'nuff last primary NOT to repeat Carson news lest the Carsonites, the Trump-upsters, & the media accuse ya of rumor-mongering?

Ben is not, nor has he ever been, a partier.

<><><><><

Hilarious.

These gatherings are for the candidate to pump up his supporters, showing them he is still all in the race.

Leaves Iowa.
Leaves NH.

Because he’s not a partier. Right.

I think it’s quite possible that Ben intended to quit last week, but the Cruz imbroglio required he stay in the race for a bit longer.

Maybe he should go on a bookselling tour to raise funds.

I think it’s quite possible that Ben intended to quit last week,

I got the impression he intended to go home and evaluate whether he should continue.

Either way, your conclusion seems correct.

The party is not for Carson, it’s an opportunity for him to thank those who put a huge amount of time into his campaign. He should be there to thank his supporters and to give them time to just be around a man they (justifiably) admire. He owes it to his supporters.

Yes, agree, and how utterly sad that a young man lost his life out on the campaign trail for Carson. And that feigned indignance over the CNN-Cruz Team flap, seriously? A farce, to be sure, IMHO.

Would Cruz gain if Carson dropped out? Probably. Would he automatically collect all or even most the Carson votes? I doubt it.

Actually I hope not. Carson is not as upstanding as I first believed. He is a pawn of the establishment, working to help destroy Cruz.

yep..I too think he was planning on quitting until his campaign slipped up....now he will be able to blame Cruz for his dismal showing. His and the Trump cult fake outrage has been a farce.

Carson dropped out before he got in. This is a vanity campaign by someone dangerously unqualified to be President.
