Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) predicted victory in the New Hampshire primary tomorrow, setting expectations high for his campaign.
At a rally in Nashua this evening, Marco Rubio had this to say as he wrapped up his speech in New Hampshire: âGet up early tomorrow and vote ⦠because weâre going to do as well as we possibly can. I believe itâs going to lead to victory not just in this primary, but I believe itâs going to lead to victory in November.â
Rubio arrived at 6:45 for the 6:30 rally but immediately set up for a Fox News interview, using his supporters as a backdrop.
One of the attendees griped to Rubio after the rally that he was âfacing the camerasâ instead of facing the people when he came on stage.
Rubio explained that because of the snowy weather, Fox News started late, and the campaign waited a few minutes to give supporters extra time to arrive.
Supporters craned their necks to see what was going on, as Rubio sat waiting while hairdressers and makeup professionals made last minute adjustments for Kelly. Some of supporters cheered for Kelly as she prepared for the interview.
At one point a heckler interrupted shouting, âNo experience!â but was soon escorted out of the building while supporters chanted âMar-co, Mar-co!â

I don’t know how anyone who saw Rubio’s debate melt-down could think he would stand a chance in the general election.

I’ll never vote for this lying, two-faced amnesty huckster who makes Two-Face from Batman look moral and ethical.
Where the bloody daylights did this GROPe fantasy coming from?
Agreed, he is a lying slithering reptile who would give the apple to Eve.
Good luck to the boy in the bubble.
If he tried that, Rubio would get a bust in the mouth.
Eddie Haskell Predicts Victory
Fixed it.
Gosh even Rubio supporters have to copy Trump, yelling Rubio, Rubio as protestor escorted out.
It’s like atheists trying to have Christmas, missing the big show.
There are three logical things a campaign can do in terms of messaging on the day of a Primary:
1) Tout your winning message and be very confident. The purpose of this move is to motivate your voters and suppress voters of your competition.
2) Sandbag your chances by understating how you think you will do. The purpose of this is to give a positive spin when you come in better that you “expected.”
3) Cautious optimism as to where you will place. Gives your voters hope you will do well and encourage them to go vote.
For Rubio to come out and predict victory with all of the information that is known means that he either has incredibly positive and convincing internal data, or the collapse is so bad that sandbagging will not help him spin this. This smells like the later and a last ditch effort to get his voters excited and to the polls in the hopes that the internal numbers won’t turn out to be true and he can place a bit higher than they expect this morning.
We’ve already suffered through nearly two terms of an empty suit 1st Term Jr Senator with absolutely no accomplishments other than winning elections in the White House. Why would we do THAT again???
He seems to think the GOPe fix is in.
Well.. that’s bold.
Sorry Marco.. ain’t gonna happen.
Whose "kelly"? Anyways, reminds me of...
Is Microsoft counting the votes again?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Wow, being Christie’s b*4ch caused him to go off the deep end completely.
Politico is reporting Rubio is downplaying expectations!
Americans love a good comeback story.
