CNN's TV News reporting strongly hinted at Carson not continuing at 6:44 (16 minutes before the caucus started) and never really backed of until much later. The TV screen schot was forwarded by the Cruz campaign. The CNN twitter did follow up with a better explanation of Carson continuing his campaign if someone was following that.

The Definitive Timeline: Cruz-Carson-CNN Controversy"

I think the Trump Pets know all this, but just keep bringing it up to be annoying. Maybe they should be reminded that it was Trump who attacked Carson's faith and conversion and mental health.

Simple fact is that all the campaigns were running with it. If you didn’t hear it from one, you would have heard it from another.

Iowans I’ve talked to shrug it off as standard operating procedure and point to claims that Cruz being ineligible as another thing they heard on caucus night.

#55 Exactly. Carson is not a fast enough responder to politics. He needs time to think, digest, evaluate...

This whole tweet thing has shown to me he is a whiny child looking to blame someone for his failed campaign.

However if you listen to his staff that has left him it was his choice of Bringing in Armstrong Williams and his effect on those trying to help Ben.

CNN is still in denial over this, I see.

In a contest for honesty I’ll pick Doc Carson over Millhouse Cruz who didn’t know he was a Canadian citizen and didn’t report 2 half million dollar loans, and has Mercer the guy who owes the IRS billions of dollars earned as a hedge fund manager. Cruz doesn’t like New York Values, he just likes New York Wall Street Money.

Doc Carson saved people’s lives. I believe Carson’s story
because Carson hasn’t got a track record of omitting things which in my book is the same as lying.

Cruz did not have anything to do with the email or any of the rest of it. He wasn’t aware of any issue until late in the evening. Carson has run an awful campaign. Every person that heard that CNN report thought Carson was leaving the campaign because no serious candidate leaves the campaign trail with two elections in less than a month.

Carson has not applied himself and ahs even sunk so low as to have his empty campaign bus drive around the primary states. That pretty much sums up the Carson campaign.. EMPTY.

I guess I am explaining the Golden Rule to a group of non-Christians who have no idea what it is. It is simply the act of treating others as you would like to be treated. In this case, were the positions reversed, would Cruz prefer the news that he was dropping out be blasted to every single caucus site, along with the info that a vote for him would be wasted? Or would he prefer a fellow candidate take the few seconds required to verify that he was in fact dropping out?

Christians understand this principle. To non-Christians it can be mystifying.

It’s CNN’s rebuttal to Cruz’s debate comments on Saturday night.

It just came out yesterday. **shrug**

Has Cruz identified who fabricated the detail about Carson’s upcoming big announcement?

Wow you really do fly in packs don’t you. Again, do you all swarm one thread at a time or do you wait to hear the howling of your “friends” and come in in waves?

I haven’t seen this kind of collusion of bashing from the same posters since the 04 and 08 Primaries. Thank god there was a purge shortly there after to drain the swamp.

The sooner the better!

I have heard that claim, but I haven’t seen when it happened.

Some commentators have speculated that Carson had intended to get out but got angry over the news report and changed his mind. He might as well get out.

Christians also understand the principle that when someone apologizes, you don’t proceed to make political hash of it. Cruz apologized, but apparently Carson won’t be happy until he gets revenge.

Which is worse, a deliberate slander or a mistake? Trump did the first and Carson ignored it. Cruz’s people — not even Cruz himself — did the second, and Carson is up in arms.

This Christian sees Carson as the one most in the wrong. But that may be because I’ve been following Carson for years and had some respect for him. Cruz is a politician and admits it. Carson acts like a politician and wants me to believe he’s above all that. Not buying it.

From the CNN clip “Breaking News” Our own Chris Moody breaking story. CNN said that Carson would be making a statement a 9:15 local time no matter what the results are. I think that’s probably where it came from.

#72, exactly.

That and Armstrong probably suggested this is great stuff to go for sympathy money....

‘Oh that mean ole Ted Cruz said I was dropping out. Not fair I tell ya, I simply told my staff that I was going home for a few days and skipping campaigning in N.H. and that we are broke and have to fire half the staff in next few days...’
