Rubio’s statement that Obama knows exactly what he’s doing (and I agree with that assessment) is, unfortunately, the ONLY thing Rush can hang his hat on in defense of Rubio.
Rush repeating that point over and over again is sounding a lot like Rubio did during the debate.

Cruz wants to place well in NH before the SC primary.
I watched post-debate analysis on ABC, CNN, & Fox. All had the same theme: 1) How poorly Rubio did; and 2) It was a night for the governors.
Not a *single* discussion on who WON the debate.
Clearly a case could be made that either Cruz or Trump won (imo, Cruz did the best), but there was virtual silence about that question. Who won the debate? Hmmm...

I think you are right—GOPe seems to have dropped Rubio like a hot potato...they did not do much to repair him after debate. Who will they push next?

GOPe may act like Rubio is on the ropes but it only appears that way. This may be a head fake. They won’t give up on their last best chance to hold on to power and the checkbook in D.C. This could be a fake staged attack on Rubio possibly to generate sympathy. I think they are capable of anything and if this election cycle is teaching us anything, it is the standard playbook template has been broken and the tactics they have used on GOP base in the past are not working anymore. Karl has all kinds of new algorithms whirling in his little war room I would bet.

Cruz could surprise in NH and I hope he does finish second. I want as many of the GOPe candidates in the race as long as possible to dilute their vote.
