It’s strange that one day before the primary Cruz is choosing to focus on this issue.

I doubt that there’s many people out there worried about the draft.

Cruz might not finish in the top 3.

You're right...it's a non issue....Who is he appealing to?

Typical attorney play which judge strikes....cuz it doesn't mean anything to the case at hand.

He was asked the question, he answered it. It’s strange that you couldn’t find a more pertinent topic.

I doubt that there's (sic) many people out there worried about the draft.

No, it's not strange that Cruz brought it up, and there is cause for worry.

If Cruz finishes as you, a DONEald lemming say, it will confirm my contention that New Hampshire is about as politically representative of America as is Newfoundland.

The question came up at the debate and Cruz is doing what candidates are supposed to do - differentiate themselves from the other candidates, all three of whom said women in all combat roles was just fine.

It’s for South Carolina home of both Army and Marine basic training. Large Army basic training at Ft Jackson, and total Marine basic at Lejeune.

The military community is huge, and South Carolina is a possible place for Cruz to stop the Trump surge or at least to get it started.

Didn’t see the conference where he said that.

Focus in this, or was he merely answering a question?

It is a relevant topic because a couple 4-starts said they support including women in the draft. . .14th Amendment, you know.

Back in the day when the ERA was being debated, Phyllis Schlafly mentioned with the ERA WILL come women being required to sign up for Selected Service and possibly be drafted.

The draft still exists, just not active. . .we even have a budget for it, we are paying for people to administer the draft. https://www.sss.gov/Portals/0/PDFs/Budget%20Justification%202016.pdf

“I doubt that there’s many people out there worried about the draft.”

Oh, and I am sure people were saying the same thing when it came to homosexuals openly serving in the military and women in combat roles.

Silliness must be guarded against.

MENTIONING something isn’t “focusing” on it. The proposal was put out their and some of the RINOs running seem to like the idea so it was entirely proper to mention how it’s an idiotic idea. For all you know it was in response to a question.

You Trumpies, honest to God.

Plenty of parents of daughters are concerned about the answers that Rubio and Bush gave the other night.
