The State of Georgia has their presidential preference primary on March 1st.
“Early voting” began today, and I plan to go and vote tomorrow.
Before voting early, ask your Elections Official where early votes “reside” prior to the election, who’s responsible for maintaining their security, etc. Lots of opportunities for funny business with early and absentee voting. Probably no big deal, but just a good idea to check it out and confirm that your vote will be counted on Election Day.
I was in charge of elections for a major city back in the ‘80s and heard horror stories. Maybe it’s better since paper ballots are pretty much gone, but I still worry.
