Hell yea and God bless him

I remember whining to my dad about a girl who left me at age 23

He pulled the car over ....between Beaumont and Winnie.....we had a pipeline Const company then and hed flown in to kick dirt in the ditch and intimidate

Old school construction outfit...

I was spread boss......anyhow he looked at me and said at 23 He was fresh out of VMI as a 2nd lt. and at tac fighter school in Tuscon which in the mid 50s had a high KIA in training rate....and he reminded me my mom woulda been at home at base housing with me in a crib

So for me to quit whining and get over it.....that there were a buttload of women out there still.....and damn I was in Texas!

So yeah....24 was old in Vietnam
