Howdy, Kathy.
Yeah, that’s pretty typical weather for these parts but NOT for your area. You’re usually buried in snow.
We’re supposed to get frozen stuff tomorrow and Tues. but who knows what we’ll get? Sounds like it’ll be a rain/sleet/snow mix with temps staying below freezing until Thursday. I stopped by the grocery store on the way home from visiting Hubby’s aunt at the nursing home and grabbed a few things to tide us through til then in case the roads are too slick. Too many idiots on the roads who seem to like to play bumper cars and I’m not keen on being caught up in the mix. LOL!

I’ve seen a later version of that movie several times on SyFy. I didn’t know there was an earlier version. That’s one creepy movie and I watch it every time I know it’s on.
Seeing it at such a young age WOULD give a kid nightmares for a while.
“The Mummy”, with Boris Karloff, gave me nightmares for weeks when I was a kid. I grew up on horror movies and it was hard to scare me, but that one sure did.

Oh yeah, Thirteen Ghosts originally came out in B&W but was still scary thanks to the great old movie directors.
I enjoyed Karloff's movies too.
Vincent Price was another great old horror movie actor.

Well how the heck did I miss that one???? Mom got me hooked on horror flicks when I was really young and we watched every one we could find. That one slipped by somehow.
Vincent Price was my all-time fave actor in horror flicks, though Karloff was a close second.

Ya had to go and mention DQ. Now I’m craving some ice cream. LOL!
Momma’s having a better night tonight than 24 hours ago. She got drenched for hours and didn’t look to happy. It’s dry tonight but a bit chilly there.
At least Momma isn’t getting snowed on like the poor eagle on the MN nest.

Boots are good for shoveling...keeps the feet dry and warm.
Are you going to look for teaching opportunities? You are quite good at it.

Those sinister looks were what creeped me out, and made him my fave. The more they could scare me, the better I liked them. LOL!
"The Raven" had both of my faves .....
..... plus Peter Lorre who was creepy but always made me laugh.
What's funny is when I saw "The Raven" later in life, I realized how campy Price was in the movie. I laughed my hiney off.

LOL, I just remembered.
When "13 Ghosts" first came out, it was one of the first movies where they would give you "3-D" glasses at the theater so when the ghosts appeared on the screen, you could "see" them.
It was a campy gimmick but pretty cool to an 8 year old!
