I think DT is assessing Cruz for VP and liking what he sees now. DT voters + Cruz voters = landslide. Both camps win.

I hope so (barking) and have tried to find out if it was a CNN tweet or actual video that King saw but stuff happens. Also noted the lack of response against others.

"CNN spent a good amount of time dissecting Cruz's lies last night."

Actually they didn't spend that much time. The case is clear, short and sweet. Which makes Cruz's never ending series of excuses all the more dmaning.

"Correspondent Tom Foreman then said, "Erin, at no time did CNN say that Ben Carson was dropping out of this race, not online, not on air, not anywhere. And for Ted Cruz to stand onstage, once again tonight, and suggest that CNN did is a flat-out lie. This is what was tweeted shortly before the caucuses opened that evening about Ben Carson's travel plans by our Chris Moody He tweeted, 'Ben Carson will likely speak at his victory party in Iowa before caucus results are in so he can catch a flight.' Then he added, 'Carson won't go to New Hampshire, South Carolina, but instead will head home to Florida for some R&R. He'll be in DC Thursday for the National Prayer Breakfast.' And then this, 'Ben Carson's campaign tells me he plans to stay in the race beyond Iowa no matter what the results are tonight.' All three of those tweets came out in less than two minutes before the caucuses even opened. And 45 minutes later, Moody hit it again by saying, 'Folks, Ben Carson is just making a brief stop at home in Florida tonight and campaign says he'll be back on the campaign trail by Wednesday.'

So vile people are held to different standards in your book because they do not even try. Then you agree Clinton should get a pass, but if a Pastor farrs they should be burned at the stake!

Mat God have mercy on America.

"I'll tell you what it tells me," Carson added. "It tells me a lot about character."

Oh yes, it does, Mr Carson....and this article tells me you have become a low class politician...."Carson said pointedly that if the meeting with Cruz is scheduled, that does not mean the the senator will be absolved."

Cruz apologized privately for the actions that OTHER PEOPLE DID, not him personally. You asked for another apology to be made publicly. Cruz went on national TV and said he was sorry that it happened....and has subsequently said he was sorry it happened, over and over, every time someone asks him about it.

YOU continued to say you "accepted his apology" and then proceeded to slander his name as a "corrupt politician".........even while you were trying to crawl on the backs of the dead Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and Sean Smith for your vindictive political ploy.

You said yourself, LAST NIGHT, that CRUZ (personally) didn't do anything wrong to you. "I mean, who would do something like that? Now, I don't think anyone on this stage would do something like that." Even so, Cruz gave you another apology, and your response "everybody can see what happened and you can make your own judgment".

Yes, I see your CHARACTER, Mr Carson, and any sympathy I felt is LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG GONE.

Point is, no one could pull it on Cruz, because it wouldn't be credible. If a Carson representative said, "Cruz is out," no Cruz representative would hesitate to stand up and say, "WRONG." But Carson's people apparently did hesitate, at least until Carson's wife showed up. Carson's problem is that even his own people thought he'd probably dropped out. As the reporter said in the CNN broadcast, no one who is serious about becoming president would have told the world just at that point, "I'm going home and won't be back until after the breakfast in Washington."

Cruz's people may have jumped to the wrong conclusion -- but it was obviously a reasonable conclusion, because Carson's people believed it. And that's Carson's real problem here.

The fact that Carson keeps pointing to the tweets when Cruz's people were clearly referring to the broadcast can only anger people who respected Carson in the past. I don't even shout at Obama when he says stupid stuff, because who cares what Obama says? But when I saw that interview with Carson blaming Cruz for not taking responsibility for Cruz's supporters, and in the next breath Carson refused to take responsibility for his own supporters, I literally yelped, "What a HYPOCRITE."

Cruz is just another politician. Carson was supposed to be something better, but he's not. Carson may take Cruz down with him in terms of the presidential election, but I think the lasting damage is going to hit Carson. Hopefully he'll come to his senses soon.

And you know he isn’t “actually campaigning” how? You might look at the number of events on his campaign schedule. And, BTW, while I support Trump, the ONLY bumperstickers for any Republican I’ve seen are for Carson. No other.

But you know he’s cheating his supporters, right? Not like St. Ted, who sends out a fundraising letter every minute.

I do not trust DT for a NY second.

VP is a useless slot,

We are in it to win it

Red would be better suited to AG than VP
And on day freekin one lets clear the rats nest out!

“In the interview, Carson said pointedly that if the meeting with Cruz is scheduled, that does not mean the the senator will be absolved.”

Get back with me when Carson demands Trump apologize for calling him pathological, and saying he could no more be cured of his pathology than a child molester can be.

Carson took the MONTH of October off from campaigning so he could sell books. HIS staff announced he would be returning home after Iowa, and CRUZ is being blamed for repeating it?

YGBSM! Cruz went above and beyond the call of duty to apologize at all to Carson, and Carson (supposedly Mr Nice) is having none of it. Cruz should tell Carson to kiss off and go sell books!

I saw an article last night that detailed Carson’s fundraising and spending.

And I saw an article yesterday that Saint Raphael was stuffing his pockets with hundreds of thousands of dollars of anonymous donor money. Cruz could shut that Super PAC down with one phone call if he wanted to. That he isn’t means he’s endorsing those sleazy money laundering tactics.

As always, Senator Principled Conservative (TM) talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk.

I think it is about corupt people’s joy at finding an excuse to vilify a good man. After all I see none of this bias against Donald with his very shady past.

Cruz did not send the offending tweet, but boy the cascade of slime makes you think he divorced his wife, or committed adultery or something!
