Oohs. An engineer.... A more banal profession could not possibly exist

He writes, on a computer that would not exist without engineers ... communicating over a network that would not exist without engineers ... driven by electric power that would not exist without engineers ...

You're funny, boy.

I'm always amused by the pathetic souls who use computer networks to rant and rave against engineers and scientists. I wonder if such folk have the wit to realize the ridiculousness of their position.

I built cable TV /Fiber optic systems for the first twenty years out of college. There is probably very few miles of cable in New England that I did not manage the construction of. Or manage the engineers that built them. Or manage their bosses.

I know engineers. Civil, electrical, computer. Been there done that.

It always amuses me when some silly engineer thinks they are the smartest guy in the room.

Go away now, you pencil tip needs sharpening, loser.

Awww ... how cute. You can’t avoid the name-calling.

At least you managed to refrain from obscenity this time. Did your mommy wash your mouth out?

You “managed” engineers? ROFL!!! That’s impossible.

I hold “sociology” in contempt; consequently I refrain from using the product of sociology.

If indeed you hold engineering (or engineers themselves ... do refrain from the hate. It’s not healthy.) in contempt, I invite you to quit using the products of engineers and engineering.

I hear Walden Pond is nice this time of year ...

Oh God another young know it all

The notions I hear about business here kill me

What did it for you

Watching Cavuto?

Management 101 frosh year

Business is not a zero sum game

All costs are not passed on

I’ll be dead but reach out in the after life to tell me how it went when you’ve got some experience

Meanwhile I’ll ping three posters here that do know business

There is a dearth of that here

I applaud you at least your not a Bernie sort

But the notion that self employed are not hit double on social security tax is truly ignorant

You go on thinking what you want to think. And I’ll go on being unimpressed with your bluster and your ignorance.

Any poster here proclaiming self employed folks are not double taxed on social security versus those who work for an employer and then goes on to proclaim matter of factly that increased business costs are simply passed on to the consumer like no biggie proves succinctly they don't own their own business and are regurgitating Non Real World B School theory

Why do you think a CPA calls it self employment tax?.....duh because that's what it is.

Man I wish all costs could be passed on....hell nobody would ever go broke and we'd all live on Big Rock Candy Mountain

I don’t think I know any sociologists. Not really sure why you would hate the so. That’s not healthy.

I do. The contempt is earned. They are the ones with all the social theories that have created the cultural chaos we have today. It is far healthier to avoid them than pay credence.

Well ... if your sales don't cover the cost of doing business guess what happens?

hell nobody would ever go broke

Oh, yes: you go broke.

Unless you're the government.

Funny how it works that way.

Thanks for demonstrating my point.

Simply dismissing theories because you disagree with them is silly. You can present and sell better theories. You think The Great Society was based on sociology? It is based on buying votes and keeping 1/5th of the voting block in your back pocket.

Ever read Mein Kampf? Just because the clown who wrote it was crazy it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read it. If more people read it and understood it millions would be alive today.
