LIVE THREAD: Donald Trump Rally in Plymouth, NH (2-7-16) @1:00pm

Posted on 02/07/2016 3:20:12 AM PST by nikos1121

Sunday, February 7, 2016: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Plymouth, NH at Plymouth State University at ALLWell North. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM EST.

Trump moves more inland today for an early rally, and again it's at a small venue.

Here's some interesting history.

This was the case in every New England state. The early settlers drove the Indians out physically during the Queen Anne's War. Plymouth was originally the site of an Abenaki village that was burned to the ground by Captain Thomas Baker in 1712.

In 1806, then-lawyer Daniel Webster lost his first criminal case at the Plymouth courthouse, which now houses the Historical Society. The author Nathaniel Hawthorne, while on vacation in 1864 with former U.S. President Franklin Pierce, died in Plymouth at the second Pemigewasset House, which was later destroyed by fire in 1909. In the early 20th century, the Draper and Maynard Sporting Goods Company (D&M) sold products directly to the Boston Red Sox, and players such as Babe Ruth would regularly visit to pick out their equipment.

I missed the debate, and catching up from reading our threads and excerpts. What did Trump do that impressed you?

Sound like Rubio tanked.

Bush as usual came across as a big pile of mush....

Trump is winning all the polls, even Glen Beck’s Blaze poll, who is in the tank for Cruz. Hit it!

And I wonder why no Drudge poll with this debate?

And this Redstate poll is Trump 98%!

“What ever became of ... English Leather.”

I think you can order it from Vermont Country Store. And Evening in Paris, Hai Karate, etc. It’s the “way-back store”.

I think the days of our live threads making the side bar are over until, Trump is the last man standing.

ABC = The JV team. There was a good deal of confusion when the mods introduced the candidates and their subsequent stage appearance. There is a video of this floating around one of these threads (sorry, so confused this AM unable to even attempt to locate the URL) In short, Dr. Carson never heard his name and stood off stage looking very uncomfortable, alone, waiting for seconds/minutes while other candidates whizzed by him. When trump came up to Dr. C, he stood there by his side, never moving. He, like I felt ABC had either ignored him, belittled him, degraded him. It was very uncomfortable watching the entire fiasco. This, in my mind set TRiUMPh

high above the remaining candidates. The man showed true character far above what many others seem to possess. A window opened for millions of Americans to view the consideration, compassion, and sympathy of this man.

Agree...it was really something to watch the some of other clowns literally grin and brush past Carson (and Trump).

No changing my mind on anything. Iowa, looking back, was a great Triumph for Trump. He overcame a lot of negativism within his own campaign and went ahead to campaign there, knowing probably that he was attempting to do the impossible, which was to campaign the state mainly by having rallies.

I understand that he had a better voter turnout than Huck and Santorum, but Cruz did better, but let's face it, he spent more money, and it scacrificed going to other places.

Trump has criss crossed more territory than anyone, and it's paying off I think. Four events tomorrow in NH. I feel a really big win, and more to follow, just like Reagan.

That just goes to show that the man is totally awake and focused. He sensed something wasn’t right.

Trump and Dr C walked on stage together- side by side. John K was forgotten completely until he came running out. Never has such incompetence been seen on live TV Unless it was the time when a ‘star’ had a wardrobe malfunction during a performance.

Agree! Iowa exposed a lot of things...didn’t it? For Trump to do so well in that state, was nothing short of amazing.

10,411 according to Wikipedia, but that doesn’t including seating on the floor, so maybe 12,000.

Thank you. Remember the lady’s fragrance TWEED? My mom wore that on occasion. As well as Evening in Paris. One fragrance I’ve never been able to wear is Estee Lauder. I swear it would make me ill, nauseated, when applied on me. I like the old stand by Norell and continue to wear it today. Calvin Klein is nice as well.
