LIVE THREAD: Donald Trump Rally in Plymouth, NH (2-7-16) @1:00pm

Sunday, February 7, 2016: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Plymouth, NH at Plymouth State University at ALLWell North. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM EST.

Trump moves more inland today for an early rally, and again it's at a small venue.

Here's some interesting history.

This was the case in every New England state. The early settlers drove the Indians out physically during the Queen Anne's War. Plymouth was originally the site of an Abenaki village that was burned to the ground by Captain Thomas Baker in 1712.

In 1806, then-lawyer Daniel Webster lost his first criminal case at the Plymouth courthouse, which now houses the Historical Society. The author Nathaniel Hawthorne, while on vacation in 1864 with former U.S. President Franklin Pierce, died in Plymouth at the second Pemigewasset House, which was later destroyed by fire in 1909. In the early 20th century, the Draper and Maynard Sporting Goods Company (D&M) sold products directly to the Boston Red Sox, and players such as Babe Ruth would regularly visit to pick out their equipment.

LUCKY YOU!!! :-))
Longing for springtime. PS we have several deer who wander up here as well. LOL We even feed them. Fortunately no hunters near us. We’ve had as many as 7 at one time. Not seen in several weeks. Believe they might be way out back having fun making new babies. At times it looks like a zoo in this neighborhood~ I love it!

Sweet.silver bells .......
Lilies of the Valley grace my garden walk

That will happen only when the fairies sing!

PLEASE DON'T FEED THE DAMNED DEER !

They are mammalian cockroaches and spread disease!

I started out with 6 pips ( that the kiddo gave me ) and the lillies-of-the-valley just spread like wildfire. I LOVE THEM!

I have the main bed at the edge of the forest ( we left about 1/2 of our land forested ) and some others under trees in the lawn. They LOVE the shade and the soil there.

Oh I LOVE that! :-)

I have several big beds of lillies ( one that's just day lilies and two that are Orientals )but the cost of the spray to keep the deer from eating 'em all, is killing me. :-(

OTOH, I have tons and tons of Azaleas out front and thankfully, the deer don't touch them, nor the Japanese Irises.

I have a gazebo next to pond. When dad came to live with me we decided to fill the bank with lilies. Also have over 2,000 daffodils planted. Here people call them Easter lilies
Beautiful Monet water lilies in the pond. Its my tribute to Lilian the original hoosiermama

Oh we were going to have a gazebo...but never did get around to getting one. I love the way they look, but I now doubt if we would have used it.

I too have Daffs and also lots of narcissus...but they're all out front. We haves several beds of them and I really don't even remember how many were planted. LOL

Madonna lilies are EATER LILIES. Bujt people there call DAFFS that?

Oooooooooooooo water lilies! I had thought about having some in the reflecting pool, but was a bit afraid if them. I really don't know much about taking care of them.

I bought what I thought was a yellow water lily the year before mother passed. The day I came home from her funeral one lone hot pink (her favorite color) bloom floated by the edge of the gazebo. Now the pond is full and each day they get lighter until they are white their last day.
Dad loved sitting near, enjoying the view and listening to he birds

Vermont Country Store carries a lot of ‘old name’ fragrances for both men and women, but some of the manufacturers have sold off the brand, or became defunct and the name was bought by other companies. Some of the ‘new’ fragrances aren’t anywhere near the originals. My favorite is White Shoulders; whatever they’re making with that name now is NOT it!

Amazon carries English Leather online; some of the reviews say to stay away from ‘English Leather’ cologne and go for the ‘English Leather Black’.

The early part of Scorpio.

Not to worry, if you have good moon and rising signs, they'll help to smooth over the Scorpio in your sun sign. :-)

I always feel close to her when i sit on that side of house. Mom was quite the naturalis and new birds and their calls. One day we sat and saw 30+ varieties of song birds. She said. “this is better than a Walt Disney movie”. Whenever we sit there and the birds are singing , I think of that day
