Panic among some Democrats about Hillary Clinton running into trouble with Bernie Sanders is spreading so rapidly that the idea of drafting Vice President Joe Biden is popping up yet again.
Fox News has learned that a prominent backer of the "Draft Biden 2016" movement, Tulsa businessman Bill Bartmann, fired off an email Friday afternoon to several dozen Democratic allies musing about the possibility of reviving the push for Biden.
"I would urge all of you to join me in 'keeping our powder dry' until we see if for the good of the party and the country, we should resurrect (sic) the Draft Biden movement," Bartmann wrote to fellow Democrats who had been involved in trying to draft Biden last year.
"We cannot afford to lose the White House."
In his email, Bartmann specifically cited as an impetus for his concern a new national poll showing a steep dive for Clinton, who just barely beat Sanders in Iowa and now trails him by double digits here in New Hampshire...
Bartmann is the founder and CEO of CFS2, Inc., a consumer financial recovery company. He originally contributed to the Ready for Hillary PAC and then soured on Clinton, urging Biden to run.
"Instead of being Ready for Hillary, we're waiting for Joe," Bartmann told The Wall Street Journal back in October.
On Friday, Bartmann did not return a call and email seeking comment from Fox about his email.

Yes, I really am pulling for Bernie and not because I think he’ll be easier to beat in the general. I don’t think he’s a crook and I know as well as I know my own name that Hillary is a crook. Who was it who said that she and bill were just a couple of well heeled grifters? So true.
Biden would be a problrmstic candidate but he’s still far more saleable then Hillary the Liar and Thief. The D’s would at least have a chance with Biden.
I think the rank-and-file Democrats are coming to that conclusion too.
Yes, it’s hard to imagine her scoring well on the all important “understands me and people like me” question.
And, not to start some flame war here (heaven forfend!) but on the R side I can see Rubio doing really well on that question and Cruz not so much.

But to that point, the Obama administration’s war on coal has severely damaged what perceptions that the rust belt had for Democrats at one time.
A second look at the Iowa caucuses has DemocRATS worried. The indication is that Sanders actually won that one.
Oh how I wish that Biden would enter the race now! We need to have a showdown and get on with it. We are being stolen blind and many people are losing their lives, family and assets by the evil that is being forced upon us.
The country and the people who will be capable of voting in the future elections will not bode well for christian conservatives and the possibility of ever electing an American soil born christian will not be happening. Not ever again.
Come on Joe, join with us in a final battle. You have taken, and taken, and taken again, it is now time to really answer the Karma you have accumulated.
This will be my last election vote for president, my great grandchildren’s future is on the line. I can not be personally harmed in any way but knowing that in the near future they may not ever be protected by the constitution and the Bill of Rights is more than I can bear.
I am rough around the edges but love my family and am having a very hard time seeing the evil that is present charging forward; a very hard time.
Have I wasted my time and energy by being proud of our country, working hard at being a good American and now at my weakest being forced to witness the evil changing all that I have trusted and believed.
