Five Thirty Eight ^

HOLLIS, N.H. — A candidate is moving up in the New Hampshire polls — but it’s the man who finished third in the Iowa Republican caucuses, Marco Rubio, and not the Iowa winner, Ted Cruz. Below is a comparison of our New Hampshire weighted polling average as it was on Feb. 1, the date of the caucuses, and where it stood as of 2 p.m. today (Feb. 5):

The Cruz vs. Trump civil war needs to stop! Better either of them than Gang of Eight Rubio!!!

Did Trump do nothing newsworthy today?

The humorous part is watching Trump fans celebrate this, when Trump created this by unleashing on Cruz for two weeks. Rubio’s rise is Trump’s demise even more than Cruz. The party/media want to rid of Cruz first and then clear the field so it’s a one on one. Trump and Cruz would have both benefited with a strong 1/2 in Iowa instead of both leaking support. If Cruz and Trump had been in the 30s and high 20s with Rubio in the teens, the narrative would be completely different.

We’re now going to be stuck with Rubio by mid-March.

You have to cut through the media. So far, Trump has.

Rubio = Obama = Cruz = Sanders = No experience at actually running anything. None of them made $1 profit in private sector. All living off of government checks all their life.

Sure, hand one of them responsibility to run the whole country. Why not!

Marco Rubio, Marco Rubio, Marco Marco Marco... Marco... RUBIO, Rubio, Rubio, Marco... Rubio... Just can't quite say it in a way that would get me to vote for him. I keep thinking about ILLEGAL ALIENS that good old Marco seems to think are just the cat's meow. Sorry...

I’m waiting to be criticized for writing “Cruz vs. Trump” instead of “Trump vs. Cruz”. LOL!

Free Republic can be a very hazardous site around election time, but I meant what I wrote. If Rubio emerges from this like McCain or Romney did, we are truly finished. Gang of Eight Rubio is a traitorous scumbag, and I’m trying to be kind. Out of control immigration will be the death of the USA if we don’t stop it now (and Rubio is on the wrong side).

The civil war between Santorum and Newt never stopped. They are both responsible for clearing path for Romney.

In 2016, Trump and Cruz will duel to the bitter end, and clear the path for Marco Rubio.

They have already checked into his background and this story will be revived, further investigated and repeated on an endless loop by the Democrats and the MSM if he ever gets the nomination

I don’t think so....though I do understand that line of thinking and could agree except that Trump and Cruz are quite aware their “fighting” , which kept both in the news, had to calm.....thus Trump announced he was beyond this in his interview and Cruz said he wasn’t going to throw mud. Both have ceased pretty much they’re tit for tat.

Ted Cruz is not a NBC. His supporters need to accept that.

Rubio didn’t ‘steal the bounce’, the MSM and GOPe did.

100% accurate

I’m sorry, did anyone expect any other result out of Iowa? There was a freeper prediction thread, they came pretty close to exactly nailing the numbers coming out of Iowa.

And many Freepers have expressed the idea that Rubio’s their third choice - why not, all he’s done is try to push through amnesty and only barely shown up as a senator (oh, hey Cuban Obama, nice to meet you...)

Of course the GOPe was going to push Rubio; he’s the first signs of life they’ve had for, what, 3 months?

M. Rubio is far worse than Romney. Romney at least has achieved a great deal and had experience as a governor, Rubio is a nothing, only lots of potential scandals.

We conservatives tear each other apart as the GOPe squeaks another through—GAH!

In my opinion, Trump and Cruz are damaging themselves as much as tearing down the other guy. I’m still hoping for Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump in November. If Rubio pulls this out, he’s almost destined to lose to Hillary. Even if he wins, we’ve still lost.

Immigration is that important. We lose on that and we lose it all.

Also are not NBC are a bunch of people born in the middle-east from American mothers and Muslim fathers. But hey, if Cruz can run for president, why not some Saudi rich guy with an American mother? If Obama can get elected TWICE in America, any one born anywhere can.
