The most recent Real Clear Politics polling average for projected results in the New Hampshire primary has bombastic billionaire and reality TV star Donald Trump with 32.8% of the projected vote with Florida Senator Marco Rubio currently edging out Texas Senator Ted Cruz 11.8% to 11.3% in pre-primary polling.
But, if New Hampshire Conservative Majority Project (NHCMP) has anything to do with it, Ted Cruz will come out on top. The 3.000 member group has thrown its support behind the consistent constitutional conservative while simultaneously hurling a major slam at Marco Rubio.
WMUR reports on the endorsement by NHCMP.
NHCMP BACKS CRUZ. The 3,000-member New Hampshire Conservative Majority Project is endorsing Ted Cruz for president. In an announcement, Chairman Kevin McHugh praised Cruzâs conservative credentials and bashed Marco Rubio, saying that if he is elected, he would be âAmericaâs Angela Merkel.â
Though the group did not explain the Angela Merkel comparison, they were likely referring to concerns that many conservatives have regarding Rubio’s sponsorship of the controversial Gang of Eight amnesty bill. Merkel has come under fire in Germany for their immigration crisis.
The group describes itself on Facebook as “working to help elect and maintain a low tax, pro-liberty, conservative majority in New Hampshire.”
I accept your apology for being snarky and rude.
Aren’t you cute continuing to show your rude snarky side with projection. Post a clear message and it would not be confusing!
