New Hampshire poll: Trump on top, Rubio in second

Donald Trump continues to hold a wide lead among likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire, according to a new CNN/WMUR tracking poll, with the pack vying for second place is beginning to break up.

Behind Trump's field-leading 29% support, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio climbs to second place with 18% following his strong third place finish in Iowa, followed by Ted Cruz (13%) and John Kasich (12%) in a near-tie for third. Jeb Bush holds fifth place at 10%, a hair behind Cruz and Kasich, with Chris Christie and Carly Fiorina well behind at 4% each. The fight for second place between Cruz, Rubio and Kasich remains within the survey's margin of sampling error.

The poll was conducted entirely after the Iowa caucuses.

“This is not Iowa where Trump almost won his weakest state.”

Good perspective, Red.

I think the guy with 60% negatives (and New York Values) should drop out to clear the field for Cruz.

Cruz voters will go to Rubamnesty?

I guess that shows where ‘legal-status’ Cruz stands on illegals.

Iowa picks losers

Iowa has picked the last five Dem nomination winners in a row... on the GOP side, they picked W in 2000, W ran unopposed in '04, (in '08 they picked Huck incorrectly), and in '12 Mitt finished within 33 votes out of 122,000... not exactly a "fail"... so that's 8 of the last 9 nominees they got correct.

The 60% negative guy will crash and burn baring some unforeseen event. The only question is, when and where.

“Cruz is the most popular Republican in the country. Trump not so much.”

How nice that 24 million tune into the debates to watch Cruz and 10,000 go to his rallies. /s

Play to win.

Donald Combover has gotten a lot of mileage out of innuendo and suggestion. Finally somebody else (including Rubio) is trying to get a competitive edge.

Don’t forget. It’s SAINT CRUZ. He who is so righteous and can be as sleazy as he wants because he’s Christian and he prays.

St. Cruz.

St Cruz doesn’t need Trump to drop out. St. Cruz will just lie and sleaze his way thru to the nomination,,to the cheers of his Christian holier-than-thou ‘perfect’ caucus.

Trump’s lead 11 and falling like a stone.
This thing is wide open. Trump falling like a stone

Open up a window and gets some air. Three New Hampshire polls out today, Trump has double-digit leads in all of them, and has an over twenty-point lead in two of the three. Trump's NH numbers here are basically what they've always been from this pollster since September (see post #7 in this thread).

Not sure being the most popular repub is a good thing to be. They’re the ones that got us into this mess. Terrible party. I hope it dies.

I agree, they need to train their fire at the establishment pig of the pack. Jebs a fool and has proven it from day one but Marco “Amnestio” is a threat to Cruz and Trump as well as the future of this nation.

Thanks for doing fund raising, trisham.

Everyone, kick some money in here.

When we become angry during this election, we must not our anger out on Free Republic. We need Free Republic to gather for a good fight, after all. It’s a fantastic arena for conservative political discussions.

Thanks! : )

Yet they didn’t like Trump enough to vote for him more than the Cruz camp.
