I'm seeing that things haven't let up on either side of this divide. Why don't we, as FReepers, try to broker a ceasefire here between Cruz and Trump supporters, that could grow into the candidates and their campaigns emulating? This is getting out of hand. I suspect that the majority of FReepers prefer Donald or Ted and can stomach the other, even if barely. I think that the visceral hatters of either side are the outliers, statistical anomalies, despite the volume and frequency with which they post their vitriol. This concept should be discussed here and in other threads until it takes root. IMHO.
I may repeat this post elsewhere.
Agreed 100%.
It’s hard enough to get past post 15 in nearly all the threads with someone making a catty, snide remark about the other guy.
It was refreshing to see an article an dhow he would keep amnesty in place , only to get about 9 posts in with someone mentioning Trump and attacking him.
Both camps are just as bad and it is bringing down FR where these people are acting like children I a playground.

Well, count me as one of the outliers then because Donald Trump will never get a vote out of me even if he’s the eventual nominee. You want to vote for the guy that America-hater Jimmy Carter says is so “malleable” that he can work with him, go ahead.
I would vote for Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Fiorina, Christie, and even Bush, but I will never vote for Trump, on principle. And I think if you start counting the “outliers” in here you’ll soon realize that there’s a lot of people who feel the same as I do. Why he’s succeeded in conning so many conservatives, I have no idea, but he most certainly has done just that. Even Carter has figured that out.
Oh, and before you go with the standard accusation that I’ll then be effectively voting for Hillary, consider this: If you succeed in nominating Trump you’ll have caused a large percentage of conservative voters to either stay home or vote 3rd party, and you will have been made well aware of that before you nominate him. So if Hillary beats Trump, it’s due to your decision to support a nominee many conservatives have told you they can’t stomach. Your decision has consequences too, you know.
