H1-B is simply a cover for immigration. Period.
H-1B is codified corruption. It can’t be fixed. Kill it.
I don’t see this as necessarily a problem with the H-1B visa program, but a problem of enforcement. It’s analogous to our overall immigration system; we have immigration laws and regulations, they just aren’t enforced.
The regulations regarding the issuance of H-1B visas is quite clear. The problem is that many companies have found a way to skirt those regulations, the executive branch refuses to enforce them, and Congress (for varying reasons on both sides of the aisle) refuses to compel the executive branch to comply with the law.
Kill it.
It’s the same as all Federal programs. Destroy the White Middle Class and replace them with Third Worlders.

As a tech worker who has been displace several times by cheap H1B’s ... I say ... ELIMINATE IT !!!!
In 2013, Sen. Cruz proposed amendments to the "Gang of 8" bill that would strengthen border security, expand green card opportunities, increase high-skilled "H1B" visas, prevent illegal aliens from receiving welfare benefits, and enforce the rule of law.Was he lying the or is he lying now?
It CANNOT be fixed, anyone saying you can fix it is just providing cover for their donors who want to keep it alive.... This program needs scrapped, its been openly abused for decades and no reforms will end it.
This is why H-1B has survived. If all professions were equally affected by this, the public outcry would kill it. Put it to a vote. Ask everyone in the country who works for someone else if it's OK if their employer advertizes the job they currently have worldwide and then fires them if anyone in the world will do it for a lower salary.
