Are Senator McCain’s 2016 Re-election Hopes in Trouble?

Things aren’t looking good for Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), as leaked data from two polls shows his 33-year congressional tenure may not survive the 2016 election cycle.

"Senator McCain's key fundamentals are all very poor," reads a polling memo leaked from an anonymous pollster in the Grand Canyon State. "His ballot, his image, his job approval and his hard re-elect all suggest that he is an incredibly vulnerable incumbent as we head into 2016."

A memo regarding accompanying polling data gathered between January 56 explains McCain's weaknesses in detail, referring to majority negative opinions on both job approval and personal favorability, while calling into question his remaining appeal to conservative voters:

In a primary electorate that is overwhelmingly conservative, only 23% believe that McCain is conservative. Far more voters believe he is moderate (46%) or liberal (25%), positioning him far to the left of the primary electorate.

It’s been rare for a popular incumbent to lose a senatorial primary. Jacob Javits lost re-nomination in 1980. Who since? Probably a few others

I wish...but the voters in Arizona seem to love the faux conservative.

I suspect that McCain and the GOPe will “Cochran” Kelli Ward in the primary.
If the November ballot has Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ-) vs John McCain (R-AZ) My vote will go to Kirkpatrick.

I can’t imagine voting for the guy when you know he’ll retire in three years and get replaced by the governor.

Last time amnesty advocate McCain had a primary opponent, he came up with a build the danged fence ad to throw voters off the track. Once reelected, he returned to advocating amnesty. This time around hopefully it won’t be so easy for him.

In 2010, McCain said he would not run in 2016. I will not vote for him in the primary, but will vote for him in the general, if he is the nominee. We cannot afford to win the Presidency and have a Dem led Senate.......and a Dem led Senate is looking very likely.

As much as pulling the “D” lever makes me throw up in my mouth a bit, we really do need to fire some high-profile RINOs this time.
