And another thing...if Cruz put Christ at the head of his campaign and he doesn’t win the presidency does that mean Christ scuttled his campaign? Or wasn’t a good campaign manager?

See how such statements can go sideways?

How did that Kings thing work out for them? David, the best, committed murder to cover up his adultery.

Judges was God’s will, Kings were demanded by the people.

Federalism, the original structure of taxation (not on the individual), and the inherent human right of self determination are all biblically based. The thread runs through our founding.

You’ll notice it’s Christ the King, none on earth

He needs to fire the Apprentice people he has working on his campaign and hire people who know politics exceedingly well, particularly the ground game aspects.

Not sideways at all.

It’s not that putting Christ as your ultimate leader means he’s on “your” side. It’s not like planting a St. Peter bobble head on your dash for good luck.

It simply means you are on his, and accept his will, whatever that is. It’s playing the long game. John Q. Adams lead a seemingly futile, decades long legislative fight to end slavery. As he said “Duty is mine, Results belong to God”.

You seem flippant, but you don’t seem to have a real understanding of what you are mocking.

As I wrote, I am a monthly supporter.

So, you despise Cruz so much, now you’re personally attacking my long-term commitment to FR?

You have lost your mind.

“Investigations.”

You can indict a ham sandwich. “Investigations” does not imply guilt.

When did Ted Cruz become a US citizen?

My mom feels that Trump is a slimy vulture capitalist. His deep connections with the Clintons and other high profile democrats really concerns her.

Moms are never wrong, right?

NEWS FLASH, dumb-ass Donald!: Lying is LEGAL in politics! NO politician will EVER be convicted for lying to the voters! Thus, the issue with Cruz is MOOT!

Are you for real?

With supporters like that, Cruz is demeaned and 99% of the arguments against Trump are de-fanged.

No wonder we keep losing ground to the insane Liberals - they're smarter than many of us.

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate (even if he's "rich enough to do it on his own") as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.

It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.

PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

Donate to FR

Well that depends on whether his mother became a Canadian when her husband did. If she did not become a Canadian, the Ted Cruz was a natural-born Canadian and a US citizen at birth. If his mother became a Canadian when his father did, then he is just a Canadian. If Ted gets the Supreme Court to rule that you can be a natural-born citizen of TWO countries, then all will be well.

Glad to hear you are a monthly donor. A lot of the people who received Ted’s Voter Violation Notices were caucus goers. So now you know how they felt when they got Ted’s notice.

“Are you a member of the 300 Club who doesn’t want to tell?”

I donate over $400/year to FR, and have for most of my 17 years here. I am not part of the 300 Club. Just not my style. No complaint about those who are, just not my way.

“We can post “Freeloading Freeper” notices for all you who are posting without supporting the FreeRepublic.com.”

Happily, FreeRepublic considers privacy important. If FreeRepublic started posting lists of all donations, I’d leave.

I like Cruz, but I thought his mailing was both stupid and offensive. I’ll probably vote for Cruz in the Arizona primary, but my vote is not locked in.

I would disagree with you on one point: Liberals are “smarter than many of us”.

They are NOT smarter .. they just willing to do or say ANYTHING TO WIN .. cheating, lying, telling falsehoods about other candidates, etc. etc. etc. Hillary is a prime example.

Those actions do NOT make them smarter; just more ruthless.

I agree with what you are saying. If it seems that I am being flippant its because I think Cruz is being flippant about it. He is moving into the televangelist sphere with some of his public demonstrations and that is the epitome of being “flippant.”

Matthew 6:6

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

“Clearly you didn’t watch the video. Ted Cruz is being investigated for using the mailers. He has TWO investigations now going on......the mailings and the loans. If he isn’t Nixon.....”

The mailing is PERFECTLY legal, and VERY common a tool in politics. NO JUDGE will take a case against it. Trump has no standing.

LOL God Love you. Y’all will grasp at anything won’t you.

Mitt Romney is an example of a vulture capitalist- a corporate raider. Trump has never done anything like that in his career. Just the opposite.

Ill informed, ignorant or misguided are kinda exemptions to the Moms are always right thing.

My grandmother- who I admire more than any other human in the whole world, believed that anyone who wasn’t a member of the Church of Christ was ‘’as good for hell as a dime is for a donut’’.
It wasn’t her fault. It was what she was raised to believe.

i don’t blame you guys, either. But you’re not my grandmother, so I have no compunction telling you you’re full of it or calling out your lies.
