One of two antiabortion activists charged by a grand jury last month in connection with filming covert videos at a local Planned Parenthood surrendered Wednesday and appeared outside court to applause from supporters who clutched homemade signs calling her a "pro-life hero."
"She has broken no laws," attorney Mat Staver said of client Sandra Merritt...

Daleiden's bail was set at $11,000, and he is expected to surrender Thursday morning.
Merritt's bail was initially $10,000, but that was reduced to $2,000. Her next court date is March 28. She has been offered pretrial diversion, but her attorneys said they are still negotiating with prosecutors to have the charges dropped.

"We think it's a real travesty of justice that the undercover journalist was indicted and not Planned Parenthood," said Christine Melchor, 64, director of the Houston Coalition for Life, who was among those greeting Merritt with signs saying, "I stand with Sandra Merritt."
Planned Parenthood officials applauded the pair's prosecution.
"The wheels of justice have only begun to roll. We don't expect this to be the last time these extremists are booked and fingerprinted," said Eric Ferrero, a spokesman for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. "We're glad they're being held accountable, and we hope other law enforcement agencies pursue criminal charges as well."
He disputed the pair's contention that they acted as journalists.
"They didn't document wrongdoing -- they fabricated it. We don't know of any journalists who have engaged in wire fraud and mail fraud, lied to multiple government agencies, tampered with government documents and broken laws in at least four states -- only to lie about what they found. It's hard to imagine anyone calling that 'journalism,'" Ferrero said...

Excellent they have Liberty Counsel backing them. Best Christian legal attorneys currently in existence. They will ultimately win this case.
The Baby Killers and Butchers along with their shyster lawyers putting on a show for their admirers. Other baby killers.
What a thug show
The criminals turn around and accuse the people who outed them
It’s an embarrassment for the entire State of Texas
They should. But I noticed the mention of Liberty Counsel “negotiating” with the D.A. Obviously this is partly what Planned Parenthood has wanted, to get Daleiden, Merritt and the Center for Medical Progress under legal pressure.
Further proof that this country has gone full-blown Fascist.
Hey, how about the guy who taped Romney’s 47% comment?
Right out of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.
Only because the rest of us are content to limit ourselves to useless, feeble and contemptible whining while sitting still and watching it happen.
Evil only wins when good men do nothing. Evil is winning. And we continue to do nothing.
And yes. I include my own self in that worthless bunch of uselessness.

Victory can come only when we confess there are no good men.

Is there a picture of Devon Anderson?
Unfreakinbelievable that she’s being charged, and the baby butchers aren’t. Freakin world is upside down.
Extremely believable.
Christianity has decayed into mere religion.

Perhaps if consciousness of Jesus again sweeps the land we will see that there were even worse things than murders of babies and baby part sellings going on. There were murders of souls and sales of souls.
If we ever stopped refusing the love of God then suddenly we would see that not only abortions stop, but a host of things that were worse and that we did not even realize were worse.
We are attacking a cancer problem at a band-aid level.
I agree. But I’m not just going to sit back like that. I’ve resolved that whether or not I know anyone who is trying to do something about the evils being done, I’m going to pray, talk to people, write letter, make phone calls, send emails, give donations if I can, and do whatever the Lord leads me to do. It might not change the outcome of a particular situation (though it could), but in the course of talking to other people, it can bring some light to them. The battle is the Lord’s, and we know that He is allowing things to get worse, but that doesn’t mean some battles won’t be won, and either way, there are things He is accomplishing, whether we see them on earth, or not.
I did donate to them when the news came last week about their indictments. I encourage everyone to do so also, if they can.
“Root cause analysis” would very quickly implicate hardheartedness among other intermediate causes.
We can’t cure our own hard hearts. We can only bring those wretched things before God in utter need and plead for mercy.
