Hard feelings complicate Ted Cruz’s effort to consolidate evangelical support
The Washington Post ^ | February 3rd, 2016 | By James Hohmann

-- Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucuses because evangelicals turned out in record numbers and broke his way in the final days. For the Texas senator to win in South Carolina, he’ll need that to happen again. But the Cruz campaign, full of bare-knuckled operatives who pride themselves on their take-no-prisoners approach to politics, might have poisoned the well.

Actually, Carson has 3 delegates, which means the main thing Cruz accomplished by doing things that irritate Carson and a number of others is to ensure that rather than having the potential to in the long run gain 11 delegates by adding Carson delegates to his 8, either Trump or Rubio will pick up that three additional delegates up.

Minus Carson's three, how many are probably going to end up with one of the three from those who each got one ?

Santorum is so avidly pro life I find it hard to believe he would trust Trump. we shall see soon

If the evangelical trio endorse Trump over Cruz that says a lot about Cruz's electability.

Cruz's charm deficit is a matter of public record. If Santorum dislikes Cruz enough he can just tell himself that Trump's conversion to pro-life is sincere. The political is personal more often than not.

Jump ahead. We’ve picked our candidate, how do they stack up in appearance with Clinton in debates, to undecided voters?

Rubio> Will look like a middle school kid telling a his sweet old grandma teacher with years of experience she’s wrong.

Cruz> Lawyer giving a prolonged explanation of why the sweet old grandmas life and work have not only been a waist of time but damaging to children.

Trump> Leader showing an old hag, that he can be just as mean and nasty she can, and to get out of the way and let a real American run the place.

Priority issues for Americans in 2016

#1 Jobs and economy

#2 Terrorists

#3 Illegals

#3 legal workers on H1-B visa taking American jobs
.
.
.
.
.
#10 Abortion.

May be Santorum is paying attention to what people want.

Trump had a genuine conversion to become pro-life.

Do you have some hard evidence to back up that choice of words?

"They should poll how many Iowans would take back their vote for DT."

That, and they should poll how many Texans would like to take their vote back from Cruz for not telling them he was still a Canadian citizen when elected to the Senate.

The point is that not all evangelicals think dirty tricks are cool, outside of FR of course, and the Cruz campaign.

Thankfully, New Hampshire and South Carolina have the heads up on Cruz. Twitter was on fire last night during the TRUMP TRAIN rally.

These people had their hair on fire against Cruz, warning
“watch your ballot, watch your back, and if his lips are moving, you know he is lying”.

Without TRUMP, the media would have passed on this story, and the Cheap Labor Express/Wall Street crowd would have kept it buried.

Cruz deserves everything he is about to get. We’re going to see to it.

I live in SC and there are Cruz signs everywhere. He will do really well here. Churches are supporting him all the way. Trump will do well also but with a different crowd.

When the Post gets a corruption scandal in its teeth on the old campaign trail, it will definitely hit the air in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

CNN has buried Cruz’ creative interpretation of their report on caucus night.

No other campaign leaped to that absurd conclusion.

Cruz is gasping and finally placed ON NOTICE.

Cruz will find the Hallelujah Chorus campaign will be dinged up by the time South Carolina comes around.

Not all evangelicals appreciate dirty trick operations, dirty politics, and dirty pol’s.

Misinformation campaigns are generally frowned upon.

Cruz funded the MISSISSIPPI TREATMENT to the tune of $200,000.00, to the NRSC to reelect Thad Cochran, over the leading Tparty conservative who was leading in that race.

REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI!

REMEMBER CRUZ!

misinformation mailers, rumors and phone calls, especially on the night of a caucus.

Carson has accepted the innocent mistake by the Cruz campaign and know that Rubio’s campaign made the same mistake.

There was no dirty politics. Honest mistake. Cruz had nothing to do with the Cochran situation.

Cruz and Trump have the media, the democrat party, the courts and the gopE all against them. That’s a lot of power. I don’t see them getting the nomination.

You have read none of the Carson quotes, but this single warm and fuzzy one? LOL!

You have heard none other of Carson’s opinion on the trix? LOL!

You have heard none of CNN’s report on Cruz’ creative use of a news report saying that a candidate is making a stop at home? LOL!!

The smartest guy in the room is the only one that struck like a serpent on the report! LOL!

Laugh out loud!
