It’s not the first time that Rush has let friendship blind him.
When Rush was first starting his national broadcast there was an election in northern California that pitted a woman against a disabled Marine vet IIRC.
The woman was a longtime conservative activist with impeccable credentials.
The Marine vet was at best a left-libertarian, openly hostile to social conservatives, pro abortion, pro amnesty, that sort of thing. But he was a friend of Rush’s and Rush couldn’t praise him enough.
Anytime Rush gets befriended by a politico his judgement goes out the window. He was Dubya’s loyal waterboy when the Bush’s befriended him.
Now that Marco is his pal Rush will never see him as an opportunist who double crossed the Florida tea party no matter how obvious it is. Marco’s long Florida history of siding with illegals will go entirely unnoticed, and the Gang of Eight amnesty push will be just a youthful indiscretion.
