Mark Levin Blasts Media Over Ignoring Cruz's Stunning Victory While Propping Up Rubio as 'Winner'
PJ Media ^ | 02-02-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:31:05 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

On his radio show yesterday, Mark Levin rightfully blasted the media for spinning the Iowa caucuses. They are, he explained pretending that Marco Rubio was the winner of the night because he got a larger share of the vote than projected.

He did. But that does not make him a winner, Levin said: Rubio finished third... which is exactly where the polls had him. Yes, he received more voters, but he placed as expected.

As Levin pointed out yesterday, the real winner of the Iowa caucuses was Ted Cruz. Not only did he perform better than thought by finishing first rather than second, and not only did he get 4% more than projected in the RCP average, he also took on the ethanol lobby, the MSM, and the establishment... and he walked away with more voters than any Republican candidate in Iowa's history.

That's the real story here, not that the establishment favorite -- who was supported by establishment politicians, whose Super PACs relentlessly went after Cruz, who was pushed continuously by the media -- ended up finishing third, but with a higher percentage than expected.

The establishment is setting up a Rubio/Cruz ticket and the lemmings will fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

The reason Limbaugh threw in Carson as a “Reagan Conservative” is because Carson would be the second choice instead of Cruz.

The main issue I have with this is that the media sets the expectations, then declares winners and losers based on those expectations - how does one lose in that scenario?

The people, not the candidates, need to eviscerate the media’s stranglehold on elections.

Well this is the first time I’ve heard about that comment—and I follow the election very closely. I wonder how Rush would react if Trump made a campaign ad showing poor people dying in the street, and calling it Cruz’ America. Trump never would, of course. But he’s also never made an ad that outright and shamelessly lies about Cruz, and then aired it heavily.

Cruz is Establishment. There is no way around that Bush cohorts are behind his campaign.

Chertoff Group is one well connected player.

“A known tactic of the intelligence community is the use of strategic communications as a “soft power” weapon against it adversaries — the creation of false narratives by the effective use of all media — social, digital, newspaper, print, etc. Combined with denial and deception, it can be a potent force. Glenn Beck and Mark Levin are abetting this.”

If Cruz were Establishment...don’t you think the headline would be that the Media were backing him? Hell, the media love Trump...that sure says enough for me.

“I’m so done with Levin.”

I sort of enjoy the angry chihuahua fits. They make me laugh.

It is the same part of me than enjoys listening to Coast to Coast AM.

I’m stunned that levin even has a “talk show”.

All he does is berate, belittle and shout in in his high pitched sissy metro voice, what losers we all are.

For all its faults, the media has figured out that Raphael is a one trick pony,...dodge the question, raise your voice, and change the subject..just like levin.

Raphael and Marky Mark are made for each other..

You can’t have as many establishment backers as Cruz and not be establishment.

My god, a Chertoff guy is running his campaign. If you don’t understand what that means you should do some search on that company.

Ah yes. You too have seen the glint of strings being manipulated.

Some day, people will realize that about talk radio hosts as well.

Well, he’s right. It’s silly to spend focus on the third-place result, but did anyone expect differently?

I have opinions about the manner in which Cruz obtained that win but hey, he did it, and an honest media (ha) would write about it. Not sure Cruz would really appreciate a delve into the means and methods of that win, though.

Yes. Mark Levin is correct.

Fox News has become unwatchable.
It has become a Marco Rubio campaign ad.
So I don’t watch it anymore.

Howie Carr’s radio program provides a pretty even balance between Trump and Cruz.

Ain’t that the truth! Levin wants to claim the MSM was all in against Teddy? When did that happen? All I heard was hate Trump being beat into mush heads.

Levin, the gift that keeps on giving. Go cry to your new squeeze.

It is also possible we will have a Jeb!/Cruz ticket. I predicted that a few weeks ago. Jeb! may be able to hurt Rubio.

In eiher case, we have another totally Bush admin back in the WH.

In either case. I stay home because I won’t care anymore.
