The Planned Parenthood abortion business wasted no time trashing pro-life Senator Ted Cruz after the Texas lawmaker won the Iowa caucus vote last night.
Cruz won the Republican vote followed by Trump and pro-life Florida Senator Marco Rubio jumped up to a surprisingly close third-place finish to come in just behind Trump, nearly overtaking him as well.
In a series of tweets, Planned Parenthood attacked Cruzâs pro-life views on abortion and went as far as making inane claims that Cruz doesnât understand how birth control works:
Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012, Cruz sailed to victory with the backing of pro-life advocates and quickly became a household name in conservative circles for his non-nonsense conservative approach to politics. When the National Right to Life Committee endorsed Cruz for his election, he said he shared the aims and goals of the pro-life movement.
SIGN THE PLEDGE: I Pledge to Vote for a Pro-Life Candidate for President
âI share their passion for promoting a culture of life across Texas and around the country.â He added, â[NRLC] is on the front lines in the battle to save lives and repeal government healthcare mandates, and I will stand with them.â
Since taking office in January, Senator Cruz has been a strong advocate for unborn children. He holds a 100% rating.
During a speech at the NRLC convention in 2013, Cruz said Democrats in the Senate donât really care that abortionists like Kermit Gosnell kill babies in what is essentially infanticide.
âThank you for that commitment to those who are most vulnerable among us, despite the ridicule of the mainstream media,â he said.
Cruz recalled the story of when his older daughter was getting ready for her unborn younger sister to be be born. And he remembered how his daughter offered his unborn child her blanket to cuddle with and chew on for security.
âIt is amazing that, as a two-year-old, child, Caroline was able to understand something that Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid donât understand.â
âWithout life there is no liberty, there is no pursuit of happiness. The ability to take life is the ultimate power and the ultimate deprivation of our God-given rights,â he said.
âI have been honored to have the opportunity to defend life,â he said, recalling his time as Solicitor General of Texas â when he would stand strong in the courts to defend the right to life. Cruz said âTexas led the statesâ to defend the ban on partial-birth abortions. He also mentioned winning a unanimous battle at the Supreme Court to defend parental notification on abortion.
Cruz recently led a pro-life rally where he discussed his pro-life views.
âEvery candidate in a Republican primary says theyâre pro-life. Thatâs what you say in a Republican primary, regardless of the facts,â Cruz said. âThe question we ought to ask is, donât tell me that youâre pro-life. Show me. When have you stood up and fought to defend the right to life?â
Less than a week before the Iowa caucus, Cruz gave the crowd a list of his pro-life actions as U.S. Senator and former Texas solicitor general, including efforts to de-fund Planned Parenthood, enact parental notification laws, and prohibit partial-birth abortion, according to ThinkProgess. The news report said hundreds of Iowans âspilled out into the hallwaysâ during the rally.
Cruz aimed some of his comments specifically at fellow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who some have questioned about the sincerity of his pro-life stance.
âIf you care about the right to life, there is a clear difference among candidates,â Cruz said.
He has all the right enemies.
That’s for sure!!
Strumpets are busy posting (badly) Politico hit pieces on Cruz
I wouldn’t be surprised if they post antiCruz screeds from Planned Parenthood sources.
Sure does.
They don’t understand life and parenthood. They are misnamed. They should be called Planned Slaughterhood or Planned Dismemberment, Or Planned Burn-babies or something like that.
Murdering babies is NOT “birth control”. It’s not “women’s health” either. “Planned Parenthood” is a bunch of sadistic, sicko, commie bastards.
Boy I'll say....me neither.
Kind of like “feminism”? To be a real woman you have to reject everything that is unique to women: childbirth, femininity, gentleness, softness, etc.
We shouldn’t be surprised that evil hides behind deceptive names.
Good point.
They are going to understand that their gig is up... SOON.
The libs have equated birth control with abortion. I’m thinking about it and maybe they are right, maybe we don’t understand this phrase “birth control”
I’m now thinking that abortion is birth control and the only form of birth control. It’s after the fact of being pregnant. From conception on there is no longer preventing pregnancy, is it controlling if a living being is born or not.
We need to change the language like the liberals have.
I will from now on use the term “pregnancy control” or “conception control” for forms of contraception I can accept, those being any that prevent conception from happening be it abstinence, mechanical (ie condom) or medicinal (ie the pill). They prevent conception and pregnancy, not prevent a conceived living human from being born.
They must mean their clientele.. after all, that’s where they get all their business from.
(My thought exactly...so then I asked: Has Planned Parenthood gone after Trump?)
“I’m Paul Ryan and I approved the funding for this message.”
They don’t usually attack their donors.
"Maybe unless they stop with the abortions, we don't do the funding for the stuff that we want," Trump said. "There are many ways you can do that, because I'm totally against the abortion aspect at Planned Parenthood, but I've had many women, I've had many Republican conservative women come up and say Planned Parenthood serves a good function other than that one aspect."
Trump Insists He Never Expressed Support for Planned Parenthood
Then why might Planned Parenthood see the need to trash Trump?

That is so right that I can't believe I've never heard it before. I am going to shove that in the face of every leftie I hear use the term "birth control". And I'm not even going to give you credit.
Evil couches in smooth words. Always has. Always will.
They have it backwards. PP does not understand abortion is not a form of birth control.
