I see it as a delivery outlet.
That could be but why should I care if they have a book delivery outlet? I have Prime and it saves me a lot on free shipping because I buy a lot of stuff (most non-book) from them.
Based on what I buy, Prime is a real deal for me. And I don’t have to drive anywhere. BTW, prices are certainly competitive for a lot of things I buy.
Ding ding ding, the potential for having such stores as drop of locations for other products is what I see also.
Safe drop zones for those that don't trust delivery in their area with all the porch snatching going on.
Or a return center. Either way, this is about more than competing with Barnes & Noble. Companies like Sears and Penney's that are in precarious shape should be very worried.
