Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'

Donald Trump spent this morning doling out blame on Twitter for his Iowa loss.

'I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!' Trump tweeted.

He also pointed fingers at the media for now crowning his second place finish behind Ted Cruz a win.

'The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!' Trump wrote.

The usually Twitter-happy Donald Trump kept quiet for 15-plus hours in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses, where he was bested Cruz, but finally popped back online this morning to thank voters and spin his defeat.

'My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn't do well there and ended up in 2nd place,' Trump tweeted. 'Nice.'

'Because I was told I could not do well in Iowa, I spent very little there - a fraction of Cruz & Rubio. Came in a strong second,' Trump continued. 'Great honor.'

Trump is looking forward to New Hampshire, a state where his polling edge is in double digits, where he'll campaign tonight in Milford in a bid to bury his Iowa defeat.

'I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd,' he also tweeted.

That makes the behavior more acceptable? Your guy won folks.

You act like he came in dead last.

Donor Class have to spend in return for the favors Cruz and Rubio will do for them

Strange that folks do not see the inconsistency in all the 'spirit filled' dialogue combined with the Goldman connection and the slimy Carson-dropped-out politics. Very strange.

So calling out a childish whiner (Trump) for being a childish whiner is “unacceptable behavior.” Lol. Ok.

I should have kept reading before posting to you. Quit trolling. I doubt you are even a trump supporter, rather someone sowing the seeds of a split party in hopes of a repeat of ‘92 and ‘96. At least that’s what your absurd and silly whining seems like..

He is talking about the voters who did NOT vote for him.

186,894 Republicans participated in the Iowa Caucus.

Trump got 45,425 votes.

So you're saying, that Trump is saying, that the remaining 141,427 Iowa Republicans don't appreciate that he's spending his money running, and if they did they would have voted for him?

Hey NH is a liberal enclave. You have to expect Trump to win. He is a liberal thru and thru to the bone.

Isn't that what you are saying, right? Trump cannot loose in NH when he has 90% liberal backing?

All liberals have to come HOME to ROOST!!!!!!!

In 2008, McCain got 13% of the vote in the Iowa Caucus, and got 3 out of the 34 delegates.

Just sayin’.

Great and accurate post.

didn’t know about the potential missile attack from the south but with us being all buddy buddy with Cuba, what reason could we use for blocking them from getting them?

If this how you folks act when you win, it should be real interesting to watch you next Wednesday.

None of you express a positive winning attitude. Do you see a positive attitude on this thread.

Do you see a positive attitude on this thread.

If the topic of this thread were about the Cruz win, you'd see plenty of positive attitudes. But the topic is about Trump whining in defeat, so it's not surprising you're seeing mostly derision and ridicule.

Yes. Those are the ones he’s focused on. He’s saying that they should have factored in his independence more than they did, that he isn’t taking outside money which the other candidates are doing.

It would be hard to fault his own supporters with that since evidently they voted FOR him.

I believe he’s referring to those who jumped from him to someone else. That’s assuming the earlier polls were correct. Maybe they weren’t. But it does appear that he lost last minute support.

So, whatever their reason for jumping ship, he says they should have given more weight to his independence.

That’s my take, and I’m sticking with it. :>)

Would be interesting to see what this delegate allocation would be if Cruz and the media had not lied about Carson. Different reasons to lie but still a lie.

This isn’t the only thread this is taking place on.

You folks trash Trump for being childish, by acting like children do when they win.
