Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of sabotaging him in the Iowa caucuses Monday night by encouraging Cruz supporters to announce that Carson was dropping out of the race at their caucus sites.
“It was happening all over,†Iowa State Director Ryan Rhodes told MSNBC. “One of the precincts Candy [Carson, the candidate’s wife] walked into, she had to correct the record. She actually walked in, in Ankeny, and gave a speech about no, he’s still in the race and that’s a lie.â€

Cruz is low-life POS that will do anything for a vote. He long-winded SOB had to almost be dragged off the stage after almost 40 minutes of running his mouth like he had just won the presidency. Guess those scare tactics he used with the fliers won the day. What a creep.
There is nothing slimy about this at all. Carson was going home during one of the most critical campaign periods and CNN caught wind of this and reported the odd behavior which is usually indicative of someone about to suspend their campaign. Cruz’supporters team made sure caucus goers knew about the report. No candidate still trying to win the race abandons his troops on the field of battle.

Cruz campaign had his folks at caucuses reading a letter. it said that Trump supported partial birth abortion, amnesty, running over grandma until six months ago. Oh, and Carson is dropping out.

Exactly. Remember how, up till a few months ago, it was all about how he wouldn’t engage in ‘gutter politics’, not go negative, etc. That sure changed when the chips were down.
I think this tactic was absolutely fine and shouldn’t even be controversial. Carson shot himself in the foot by behaving like a candidate about to drop out and then having CNN notice and report on it. Of course Cruz supporters are going to make sure that Carson supporters know about the CNN report.

I’m from Texas, what is happening right now is little league compared to the BS that happens in a general election.
Have been an election judge, and I know all too well.
If it is purity you want, look to God, you won’t find it amongst men.
They were talking about what was reported, that Carson was going home. Naturally that led to speculation on whether he was dropping out.
If voters were there to vote for Carson they were going to vote for Carson. At least I would have.
This reminds me of those ladies in Palm Beach Florida who tried to say they accidentally voted for Bush when they meant to vote for Gore.
This explains a lot. From what I understand the people speaking for Cruz were saying Carson was leaving the campaign so you might not want to waste your vote. Also Steve King tweeted a like announcement. Disgusting.
You Cruzbots defend these slimy tricks - so, you must approve of them. Heaven help if someone had pulled this on Cruz. But, it’s okay to lie as long as you thank Jesus? I don’t think so.
