Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of sabotaging him in the Iowa caucuses Monday night by encouraging Cruz supporters to announce that Carson was dropping out of the race at their caucus sites.
“It was happening all over,†Iowa State Director Ryan Rhodes told MSNBC. “One of the precincts Candy [Carson, the candidate’s wife] walked into, she had to correct the record. She actually walked in, in Ankeny, and gave a speech about no, he’s still in the race and that’s a lie.â€

Carson’s been saying he’d really surprise people in Iowa. Guess Cruz’s internals showed that. Carson wasn’t a threat to win but Cruz could use those votes with polls what they were.
I believe this will be investigated. I certainly hope so.
Not talking about tweet, Cruz people told several caucuses that Carson was dropping out. Witnesses at all.
The mailers were a little creepy but not even all that bad.
There was a lot of phony outrage about those by people who support a guy without any ethics at all.

No proof any of this was some coordinated strategy coming from the top. Candidates have hundreds of operatives working the precincts getting creative in the heat of battle on game day. Carson will disingenuously milk this tempest in a teapot as will Trump’s own paid operatives here on FR who themselves are some pretty slimy characters.
Maybe simply typical cheating politicians. “ Disgusting” will do just fine!

I was thinking the same. 9-10% is a pretty decent following and I doubt he’ll be endorsing Cruz now when the time comes.

The precinct captain said that 6 months ago, even the twitter account said so.
you took it as faith that trump was going to win and now he hasn’t and you can’t handle it.

Not only does Carson have 9-10% of the vote, his base (and that of Huckabee and Santorum) would gravitate to Cruz.
Yet we saw Huckabee and Santorum appear at the Trump rally.
If all 3 endorsed Trump.... would be interesting.
Did Dr. Carson ever come back from his book tour? That’s a sure sign that someone’s not serious.
Cruz is showing his slimy scumbag side., Get over it if you can.
I think that is the biggest grind with Him. With Trump he is what he is and does not duck that. You will know a tree by his fruits.

Members of Carson’s team furnished evidence of various precinct captains alleging misconduct by the Cruz campaign.

do you know any CEO’s? I do (my brother) and I can guarantee that this sort of underhanded BS about competitors is commonplace and necessary.
After the way Trump went after Carson, why on earth would Carson endorse him? And why would Carson supporters support Trump?
Steve King tweeted out that Carson was withdrawing, hoped his voters would go Cruz.
Pretty slimy. I used to respect King. No more. I used to respect Cruz. Am starting to wonder
