Go Trump! Happy he came in second! On to NH!!!
Listening to Cruz. No mention of JOBS. No mention of a wall. No mention of international trade. I fear he is a globalist.
As I mentioned in posting on another thread, what a gracious and classy speech by Mr. Trump.
It is good to keep in mind that in recent history (if I'm not mistaken), Huckabee won the 2008 Iowa Caucus, then McCain (the eventual Republican nominee that year) went on to win the New Hampshire Primary. Likewise, in 2012, Santorum won the Iowa Caucus, then Romney (the eventual Republican nominee that year) went on to win the New Hampshire Primary.
This is just round 1, and there are many rounds to go, and it can be helpful to take a look at recent election seasons, and to maintain a long-term, balanced view of the whole election process.
(Some of the more high-strung Cruz supporters here on FR sound almost maniacal on different threads, as they emotionally express their vitriolic bitterness in victory! What on earth will they be like when they actually lose something?)
To all Trump supporters, just remember that great immortal quote of John Paul Jones:
"I have not yet begun to fight!"Goodnight to all here on this thread (including the high-strung Cruz supporters).
It’s over. this behavior is uncalled for and immature.
Are you saying that Jim Robinson’s preferred candidate is a “fake”?
“Go Trump! Happy he came in second! On to NH!!!”
Oh crap.... Seriously. You are a fraud???? This has been a joke? Seriously? All your trumpy stuff has been a joke?????
Honestly. I need to know.
If so, BRAVO. Bravo!
Yep! Something is not right with him not mentioning those things. I pray things change in NH.
Yes, he does need to buy a farm in Iowa as he suggested he might!
Go Trump! On to NH!! Nothing can break my spirit!!
Go Trump! On to NH! Nothing can break my spirit! We’ll see who the real fake is in the end.
If he finishes a close second in NH, he'll be tough to beat.
The establishment/open borders money is going to cascade all over him in the foreseeable future.
~~Go Trump Go~~
Last post from me for the night.
You are obviously under the influence. I’m not being snarky. I’m being honest and I get it. Tomorrow, you may lash out at me with what I posted but the truth has pretty much been proven. I made points and you came back with “yay trumpy! You came in second....” After months of hearing “trump will sweep every state”. Then there are the religious post where you call out Freepers.... We wouldn’t even be on this site if we were Conservative Christians. Yet you have no problem throwing many of us under the bus.
I said it earlier. I will say it again. I am a Veteran. I have never once met a “Captain”... Or any commissioned officer speak the way you do. I highly question your history.
At that, I’ve had a great meal. Sitting on the 29th story of a hotel in Chicago (not trumps though.... Sorry) and am ready for bed.
I have to admit that I’m disappointed he came in 2nd in IA. I hope he recovers and goes on to win the nomination.
I support Cruz but will gladly vote for Trump.
Good speech.
Maybe it’s time to direct our ire at the Democrats instead of letting the media and our recently joined posters tell us who to vote for?
Bingo!
Trumpâs ego took a yoooge hit. Hopefully it humbles him down and does not get negative. His âleadâ in NH can only go down with both Cruz and Rubio carving him like thanksgiving turkey.
He needs to apologize to Cruz and join him against the progressives. But Trump is an old dog, so learning new tricks may be hard for him.
Agreed!
Cruz beat Trump handily getting the most vote ever in a Republican Caucus even Ronald Reagan.. Cruz received over 48,000 votes!!!
That Trump did so well with his unconventional campaign, which included holding huge rallies, says a lot. It also say much about him. For one who did not participate in the last debate, I think he put one hand behind his back. What The Donald learns from Iowa will help him in the months ahead.
Cruz had a well organized ground game with 12,000 volunteers averaging 2,000 door-knocks a day, and 20,000 calls per day. Cruzâs team has been working Iowa for months. His team was very effective in the full use of data-driven techniques. Technology was not only being used to identify Cruz supporters, it was also helping staff and volunteers learn how to make the most effective argument to persuadable voters. Cruz had one more advantage: He had evangelicals and other conservative Christians which formed a bedrock of his support. Traditionally, they are among the most reliable of all GOP caucus-goers.
Trump kept his ground game secret. Insiders say it was a good one but it was no match for Cruzâs. I congratulate Cruz for his well run campaign.
No personal attacks!
I was talking about the Cruz supporters, but carry on. :)
