How do you know that it was not the intention of the framers to leave the definition of the phrase "natural born citizen" to the people to apply rather than to the Supreme Court?

Where in the Constitution does it authorize the Supreme Court to dictate the results of an election in this fashion? The Supreme Court itself has declined to do so in the matter of Barack Obama. The country has proceeded in the campaigns of Barry Goldwater, Gov. Romney, John McCain and Barack Obama as though this is the perfectly appropriate method of selecting a president.

Donald Trump does not get to define the Constitution for us.

It’s not Donald Trump that defines natural born citizen. Anyone over 40 learned it in 3rd grade social studies.

Donald Trump does not get to define the Constitution for us.

He will if he's elected (in a manner of speaking).
