That is why Trump cannot "win" in New Hampshire. He is doomed to lose the expectations game even if he succeeds in getting the most votes.
The myth of Donald Trump is busted! The days of rationalizing every Trump grotesquerie with, "who cares he is a winner," are over.
There’s still the little matter of having to get ALL of America’s votes.
Cruz can’t win as broad a slate as Trump could and that’s just the facts jack. Can you spell pyrrhic?
It’s just a shame that the winner has to be someone who isn’t even constitutionally qualified for the office.
Like it of not, it’s hard for folks to claim to be “constitutional conservatives” while supporting a guy who can’t legally hold the position he’s running for.
Just yesterday, people were predicting Trump in the 35 to 40% range. Instead he is at 24%
Maybe the polls showing his YUUUGE lead in New Hampshire are similarly flawed.
I suspect that since Trump is footing the bill for his entire campaign, he has gone cheap on the all-important GOTV effort. So I would expect him to consistently under-perform.
It s a cool theory but its still a strong finish for Trump. He’s on solid ground. He’s validated and viable.
In more ways than one. Remember he is/was the Great Deal maker. Yet he has exposed his shtick, the veil of his bluff game has been rend. From this point on all who does business with the great one knows exactly how to play him.
Call his bluff.
His bluster may have been endearing to some initially but he has worn people thin with his never ending in your face and its all about me attitude.
