We will see...Cruz is a far right wing Obama and nothing will change in Washington or anywhere else. He talks out of both sides of his mouth and it’s my prediction that next week he will end up in 4th place.

When I was in college, we required to take a philosophy of religion course, which covered the major religious philosophers from Thomas Aquinas to Paul Tillich. I went home and asked our my minister if agreed with Paul Tillich, he said that, yes he did. So, I asked why I had never heard anything like that in this church and he said that you have to preach the kind of sermon that the congregation wants to hear. I never went back.
Now days, it is hard to find a minister who has read Tillich. So, it is not surprising to me find a minister who supports a secular Christian like Trump. A secular Christian is like a secular Jew.
Yes, it’s only one State. And lots have become President who didn’t even win it :-)

I'm with you. Less than 8 years ago Obama refused to admit to being a socialist and now the dem party is embracing it. In Iowa! And the media goes on and on about Trump being a clown simply because he's a patriotic American while two socialists (one who admits it) are running in the dem party and the media doesn't bat an eye. The public schools are indoctrinating the kids with communism -- it's shocking. That's why all those millenials are for Bernie. Something's got to be done about that.

I give Trump credit for battling hard in Iowa. He didn’t wave it off like Jeb and Christie and those guys. He put his chips in and tried to pick off the types of voters that belonged to Cruz/Carson/Huckabee/Santorum.
If it turned out Trump 28 to Cruz 24, there would only be a 1 delegate swing anyhow.
If Trump can learn from this and withstand the ridicule he’ll receive this week - and I expect he will - he’ll be in good shape after NH and going into SC.

I can! As you may remember the Gang of 8 kept trying to peddle the idea that the bill was really about immigration reform and border security, not about creating more Democratic voters. But because we COULDN'T be racist toward those poor illegals, there had to be a way to bring them out of the shadows right??? And of course, we needed to keep bringing in 'skilled' workers, right? (wink,wink). And not only were they successful in persuading the Senate, they also had a majority of the House ready to go along.
So Ted decides to call their bluff and show their true intentions. Okay, you say you want border security? Here is an amendment that requires that the border security measures be completed BEFORE anything else happens. You say you need 'skilled' immigrants? Here is an amendment that gives you more visas for skilled immigrants, in exchange for stopping the influx of low-skilled illegals. You say you are not trying to legalize the illegals just to get new voters for the Dems? Here is an amendment that will allow legal status for illegals, but will never allow them to become citizens.
Of course, Ted knew they would never pass those amendments, because it would completely undo what they really wanted - more low cost labor for business and more voters for the Dems. And once they voted down the amendments, Cruz, Session and others were able to take that to the House and help convince enough conservatives to kill the bill there.
