I want my President to have Dignity first, a respect for the office, then come politics. Of all the front runners, there is but one choice...

dignity is far down my list. I want someone who will do what it takes to get our country back on track.

If you want dignity elect a Bush or maybe the butler on Downton Abbey.

I value those things as well, but given the climate of the last eight years and where it has gotten us, I suspect much of the support for Trump (part of me as well) might well be because many hope he is going to use a flamethrower instead of a spoon of honey.

I don’t care for Trump, never have, but I will vote for him if he is the nominee.

Like the current jackass we have gives a damn about the first two? The presidency is about popularity. This is the age of facebook, selfies and youtube. You have to win first....then do what you want. Most American’s want that anyway (like it or not). They want to watch reality TV on their supersized TV’s (even the poorest have them ) and play on their phones ( again, even the poorest have them). As long as they are only slightly better off than their poor ass neighbor, they really don’t give a damn what goes on beyond their tiny little circle of awareness. Hence the wildly poplular lottery.

If it doesn’t fit on a bumper sticker, most American’s don’t get it.

I’m sick of Ivy Leaguers and lawyers.

I want a guy from Eureka College!

Honestly, I expect Trump to be worse than even McConnell. He will view any conservative opposition to his grand deals as a personal affront and he will wage scorched earth war on any conservative who opposes him. If we elect Trump, he will think he owns us.

Is dignity a prerequisite to overturn money tables in the temple? What is the look of righteous indignation?
I want the corruption ended which has overtaken this great nation.

I am not for a president who believes in Dominion theology. I am not for a president married to a liberal who was on Goldman Sachs board and was part of a team that produced a report promoting the goal of a North American Union between mexico and canada and the us.

You’re looking for the Marquess of Queensberry; that era is long past.

idealistic dreaming is where we are now.

we must have a man with enough ruthlessness to overcome all the claptrap balderdash and get things moving in the right direction

Dignity is subjective. And varies in degrees depending on whom you ask.

That said, I like Cruz, as has been my tag line since before he declared.

Not to worry, I eat, drink and sleep in asbestos.

Cruz attends a different and much more mainstream denomination than his father does. I actually don’t believe that his father is a full on dominionist though I will admit that his Father does believe in some weird health and wealth stuff that is out of the mainstream and sounds a bit similar. As to the attacks on Heidi, she works for a big bank and is a conservative. Nothing disqualifying there.

As a wise fellow once said in CNBC...

China has central planning by scientists, engineers, and mathematicians

And the US has central planning by lawyers

Neither one is good, but by definition we lose

Any of the front-runners would be better than the alternative. None of the contenders will have blanket authority to change much without working with a GOP congress that has repeatedly stabbed us in the back and is all about the status quo.

The reality our nation faces is grim if our leaders refuse to set priorities, slash spending, and gain control of our debt/deficits. They don’t have the stomach for it and if they did implement huge spending cuts they would lose power in 2 years because we have turned into Greece. Everyone votes for their comfort and there is something for everyone on the national credit card.

Sorry I am so pessimistic, but it truly amazes me how so many believe “insert your candidate here” will fix everything. D.C. does not work like that and we don’t have a congress willing to make a stand (on anything).

There will be major disappointments with a few victories here and there for conservatives if we win.

I’m looking for a leader who is willing to name and destroy my enemy. I’m looking for a leader who is willing to do ANYTHING to bring back our economy.

I do NOT want another PC/limp-wristed/nice guy.

I want the meanest SOB on the planet fighting for MY interests and the interests of my children and grandchild.

Trump comes closest, but he’s still too restrained for my taste. At least he’s going to appoint generals that will rip things up and negotiators who are unmerciful.

I *refuse* to stand by while our nation is turned into Europe.
