There is an important - absolutely critical - difference between an inspired, consistent and conservative leader on one hand - and the cheap, easy, media-centric substitute. Frothy, populist anger is no substitute for principled leadership.

AMEN!

BREAKING: New Hampshire Poll - Donald Trump Extends Lead - More Than Cruz, Rubio, Bush Combined

by sundance
A new poll From Franklin Pierce (full pdf below) on behalf of the Boston Herald shows Donald Trump gaining an additional 5 points in the past week. Trump now dominates the New Hampshire polling with 38%, Ted Cruz with 13% and Bush/Rubio with 10% each.

In addition, almost 60% of New Hampshire voters now see Donald Trump as inevitable Republican Presidential Nominee:

Well, this is the first quarter of a football game that will determine, to a large degree, the future shape of our world. I said this to a lady at a dinner recently, she called me a right-wing nut, and I just smiled at her not wanting to verbally reduce her to a fly speck.....

I'm a Cruz supporter, but I think this is not a very strong argument. Reagan was who he was and that's what we needed at the time. While we could definitely have used more of it since then, maybe now we need someone a little harsher.

I'm voting for Trump if he's the nominee.

Based on these standards

Taunting. Personal anger. Arrogance. Intentional offense. Preoccupation with Power. Self-adulation

All of the current candidates but Ben Carson are unqualified to be President.

Pretty sad article.

Pretty damning about Donald Trump.

Not so convincing about Ted Cruz.
