You missed my point.

You didn't used to dislike Palin, was my point.

Even the Scandinavian Model will only work with a homogeneous, compulsively hard working, well educated, and authority compliant population. Having the North Sea Oil teat to suckle certainly lent false comfort to Norway. Once any one of those changes the system, a house of cards at best, becomes increasingly unsustainable.

Thanks. I actually have a book owed to me on kindle.

the left’s biggest boogeyman, McCarthy, did damage to the right with his theatrics.

took away from the STAGGERING number of communists in high places.

did you know that the USSR had built an Entire town to mimic small town USA and train spies there?

Exactly...not until she supported McCain AGAIN and Donald Trump. Now she is calling Cruz a flip flopper (which he may be) but Trump has flipped flopped more than any Republican candidate I can remember. He actually contributed to the Clintons...duh!

And the way Sarah’s kids are acting lately I’m a little baffled that she isn’t taking more time for them.

So, yes, I am having a lot of problems with where Sarah Palin’s support is right now. She certainly doesn’t look conservative from where I stand.

But, rest assured, I’ll vote for anyone other than Hillary or Bernie!

I won't try to refute you, because it won't matter to you and I'll just leave it at at that.

Most of her kids are adults; not much one can do about them now.

Yes, when all is said and done, we must come together and keep the presidency out of Dem hands!

Let’s be kind and say her endorsement does not match up with what she claims to believe on issues..........I will leave it to others to speculate why that is.

You are flat calling her a liar because you don't like her pick. Your notion that Trump is not a conservative is purely your opinion, she has one as well and it differs from yours. That does not make her a liar. I won't let it go at that, I must call you a liar sir/mdm.

.
Where do you get that?

I’ve been hoping that she would go back to the woods ever since her TV career began.

Her family is disgraceful.

No, Cruz’s wife’s resume is disgraceful.

And Reagan liked TV and his GE tours, too; it solidified his understanding of conservatism.

Same with Palin’s TV and her book tours. Odd how you think that is a “negative”.

Trump didn’t “flip flop” That’s a term relegated for elected representatives and career politicians. Not Trump before 2015.

You can call me whatever you want, I call myself conservative.
You know, the people who oppose government run health care, pro life, pro 2nd amendment, anti crony capitalism, anti redistributing wealth, low taxes, strong military, originalists on judges, anti affirmative action, etc etc.

I am old enough to remember those views were welcomed here.......

Let the Trump insults begin!!!

“...did damage to the right with his theatrics...”

Actually, friend, I think the ONLY people he did damage to were the scared, pathethic RINOs of his day, and they teamed with their buddies on the Left to destroy him.

Cowards, then as now, will always be scumbags.

McCarthy saw a threat, spotlighted it, and the cockroaches gathered to overwhelm him.

The Venona transcripts released in the 90s proved him right, and vindicated him.

Anne Coulter did a good, long write up on Senator Joe in “Treason”. Worth the read.

Why didn’t he just release the list he had in his hand?

would have cleared him up right away.

i know the threat was horrific.

But if you say you have a list, hand it over.

but i wasn’t born till 68 so I dont know the whole story.

have to do some reading ;)

You can call yourself a tree if you like but it doesn't make you a tree and you are not a conservative but you can play one on FreeRepublic.

Seems like he saw the light some time in the ‘60s, i would guess, without looking.

Ronaldus Magnus was a New Deal Democrat back in the 30's and during the War. His reeducation began after he met Nancy, who began to point out the rot in the Democratic Party and the numbers of unabashed Reds running around the national administration under FDR and Harry Truman (Joe McCarthy was right about the 250+ Communist Party [COMINTERN] and KGB spies in the Truman Administration: He had Venona material but couldn't reveal the source as it was still above Top Secret).

Reagan began to pay serious attention to the damage being done to society and the Constitution by Fabians and Communists. He drew away from the Democrats and began to align with "Main Street" (Taft) Republicans and eventually to support Barry Goldwater.

I hope voters aren’t trying to find the most Christian-y godliest candidate out there because who are we to judge one another’s level of faith – our Christian quotient if you will, she said.

So does that mean we should feel just as good electing an atheist or a Muslim and not "judge" a candidate on religion? This is a silly argument she's making. To the extent that one's religious and moral beliefs reflect public policy, it's extremely important to judge a candidate on this. If your religious is pacifist, that will affect how you act as commander-in-chief, for example.

I was raised in a Dem family but even as a kid I could never understand why my parents didn’t like Reagan. In 1988 I couldn’t understand what they saw in Dukakis. By high school I was a hardcore Republican and voting for Bush/against Clinton in my school’s mock election.

Was there a more conservative candidate running in 1980 than Reagan? If there was, we would’ve rightly supported them. I don’t think there was, so we surely would’ve backed Reagan. Just like we backed Newt last time despite his marital issues and some deviations from conservatism after leaving office.
