Official: Withheld Clinton emails contain 'operational' intel, put lives at risk
Fox ^ | February 01, 2016 | Catherine Herridge

Posted on 02/01/2016 8:04:11 AM PST by xzins

EXCLUSIVE: Highly classified Hillary Clinton emails that the intelligence community and State Department recently deemed too damaging to national security to release contain “operational intelligence” – and their presence on the unsecure, personal email system jeopardized “sources, methods and lives,” a U.S. government official who has reviewed the documents told Fox News.

The official, who was not authorized to speak on the record and was limited in discussing the contents because of their highly classified nature, was referring to the 22 “TOP SECRET” emails that the State Department announced Friday it could not release in any form, even with entire sections redacted.

The announcement fueled criticism of Clinton’s handling of highly sensitive information while secretary of state, even as the Clinton campaign continued to downplay the matter as the product of an interagency dispute over classification. But the U.S. government official’s description provides confirmation that the emails contained closely held government secrets. “Operational intelligence” can be real-time information about intelligence collection, sources and the movement of assets.

Hillary’s denials on this issue are just not credible. You have to start with the basics - that she thought it was OK to use her own email server rather than the government provided (and secured) email servers. This can’t have been a casual decision.

She says it was for her “convenience” but, as I know first-hand, setting up and then running your own email server is anything but trivial.

You have to look at her history to realize that this was calculated. When she was part of the Democrat’s team investigating and prosecuting Nixon/Watergate, she learned that EVERY record of every conversation was available to investigators. And while First Lady, having a front-row seat to her husband’s impeachment, she saw how FOIA requests made electronic communications publicly available.

Further, she would have known prior to her appointment as SoS that she would deal with top-secret info. This would have been buttressed by the security briefings and admonishments received as she assumed that role.

If she took seriously the role, and the information she would be entrusted with and would be acting upon, the LAST thing she SHOULD have wanted is to have that information on anything buy secure government servers and devices.

So, clearly, given the choice between protecting national security, and shielding herself from FOIA requests and other forms of oversight - including and particularly from Congress, she chose the to protect herself.

This was blatant, dangerous, illegal, and WILLFUL conduct that should and must be prosecuted.

You’re exactly right. And her security people would probably look the other way.

I hope she has nightmares of a SEAL wearing his skeleton mask standing above her.

“Term Limits” by Vince Flynn was excellent. Too bad he isn’t with us any longer.

Every one who ever sent her an email or received one from her should be charged and prosecuted. Her email address could have been yahoo.com and the idiots apparently wouldn’t have noticed. I don’t believe any of them are that stupid.

I have no doubt that whatever was on her server is in the hands of foreign govts. which leaves a “president” Clinton a guaranteed target of political blackmail. Not money but rather demanded cooperation in certain questionable international events.

Personally, I think she had an arrangement with enemies who she alerted that she would put info on that hackable server in exchange for donations to the foundation or some offshore account.

It is the ultimate excuse for selling classified info. You can claim you didn’t know the hackers had your number. But, it would be interesting to see the timing of classified email releases and foreign government actions.

I don’t understand your point. I said if she isn’t indicted she should be worried that justice will be served in other ways.

If you watch the video, he turned the vehicle off the road, FBI had 3 vehicles blocking road. When he turned an FBI agent ran towards and I front of his vehicle. No agent was originally there. FBI orchestrated ambush.

Really encouraging knowing the Chinese and Russians know every move we were making in those four years and probably every move we intend on making in the next ten or twenty. Just thinking this moron could be president is one more scary thought. We’re almost done as a nation now, she’ll finish the job.

I’ve been reminded by many that Ford pardoned Nixon before Nixon was indicted. That is true. I also thought it was wrong at the time.

Allowing a president to pardon prior to indictment means that an unscrupulous president could plan illegal operations and pardon if discovered or have operatives who plan illegal activities and pardon if discovered.

It is an ‘indulgence pardon’, a ‘get out of jail free’ card.

You are exactly right. Obama put us in the toilet and she would flush it.

And we’ll see much more damage done until 1-20-17 and that won’t be the end of it. The damage is going to linger for many years.

That’s one question no one asks her. How could you do your job if you never sent or received any classified info?

All the Democrats care about is “FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT.”

Soros already gave her millions. It’s a done deal. She’ll be the Democrat nominee, and Bill will give her a second shot at the interns as usual.

Some feminists they are — they love patriarchy.

Blah blah blah. It’s laughable to post any of this. Anybody else does this and they’re marched to jail. She just traipses along gaily and no one has the guts to stand up for what is right.

I agree with everything you say in your reply, just pointing out that there may be another side to this story and it’s not at all clear that law enforcement did anything wrong with this shooting. At a minimum, it’s highly relevant that this guy is on record a having said he should”never be taken alive”.
