LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Governor Matt Bevin says a cease-and-desist letter was sent Friday to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Louisville that is accused of performing abortions illegally.
On Friday, Bevin told WKYT's Bill Bryant that there were "people on site right now investigating the exact scope and nature of what they've been doing."
"It's literally unfolding," Bevin said before a 1 p.m. taping of Kentucky Newsmakers.
Planned Parenthood leaders say the health clinic opened in Louisville last month. Officials have said they applied for an abortion facility license, and began services under the guidance of the Kentucky Office of the Inspector General.
That news angered Bevin, an anti-abortion Republican.
Bevin said he found out on Thursday that the clinic was performing abortions. After it was brought to his attention, the governor released a statement released that night, saying they "are openly and knowingly operating an unlicensed abortion facility in clear violation of the law."
The governor said he would use the full force of the Commonwealth to put a stop to this and said there is "no room in Kentucky for this kind of blatant disregard for proper legal procedure."

What does it say about liberal women when the most ardently desired expression of their personal power and equality is the ability to kill their own children?
“Legal, safe, and rare” was a lie when it was first uttered, and remains a lie.
Legal abortion has never been about women’s rights or health, but about abortionists’ profits. Abortionists routinely flout the law and get away with it by claiming that they are supporting women’s rights—so why should anyone be surprised that this new abortuary is going ahead with its blood business without bothering with proper licensing procedures?
so shut it down. Send the perps to jail.
“Performing abortions” without a license?
Believe thats called murder.
